Blimey, another one. What do they tell our development squad before every session: 'right, so you're the ones nobody any good wants.'

We don't seem to be bringing our youngsters through. Kieran Preston, Jamie Lucas, Aaron Ward-Baptiste, Danny Greenslade........ Dominic Thomas got a bit of game time at Dorchester.............. Having 5 on the bench limits options, but there seems little reason for the 'youngsters' to see their future at Rovers.

It's been awful ever since we dropped out own scouts. We really need new people at the helm who have vision. It used to be our bread & butter, bringing on new and young talent

Roberts, Hayles, Cureton, Lambert, Ellington all cost money and yes we made on their sale. What are you asking for one club players, Stuart Taylor was the last. So not getting your post.

The fact that future opponents Woking and Braintree are in action this weekend gives us a good opportunity to take in their games.”

This is something I have thought about also.
Donovan Wilson was on the bench on occasions. He describes himself as a quick forward willing to take on players - just the type we need.
When Mildenhall was injured Preston was not even used on the bench. (I believe he is 18 and played when younger for Scotland U19s.)
It seems a DC thing and perhaps he is right as he sees the players much more than we do. What about the old cliché: if you're good enough you're old enough?

It used to be our bread & butter, bringing on new and young talent Problem is the good ones are snapped up by Championship clubs and we're just left with the players nobody wants/don't seem good enough i.e Harding. Even if we did identify more good youngsters then we'd probably lose them as well, although how Exeter kept hold of Grimes until he was worth nearly £2m is a mystery. Just recently we've lost Macey, Santos, Wilson, Mehew & another youngster(?) imagine the young team we could have put out in a couple of years time if you added Parkes, Lockyer & Harrison to the young players we've lost.

At what age can you put them under contract to protect the club. Of course this would result in lots of "why has so and so got a contract". So it looks like we have produced youngsters but y hey are gone before we see them play...
