Game reminded me of Yeovil game when we down to 9 men and came back to draw. The fight back despite being outplayed id what rover are all about

Bringing Ollie Clarke on helped us win the battle in midfield. Darrell Clarke has just suggested the change was at least in part tactical. Credit to him if it was.The first 30 minutes were as bad as I've ever seen us play but we were a lot better in the second half and I think we just about deserved the win in the end. Balanta was poor and a change was needed

Been watching us since 1995, and that has to be one of the worst first halfs and one of the best second halfs i've seen, the crazy thing was that it was mixed into one game! Still can't get my head around why Sinclair is not playing in the football league, superb amount of energy from him, thought he looked excellent on the ball and gets around the pitch with such ease. Gateshead looked excellent on the ball by far the best team i've seen at home this season, but what we lack in quality technical players, we make up for in energy, fitness, desire and hard work from by far the most honest decent bunch of players we've had for years. We have a team and manager we can be proud of again, we have players who are unanimous in how well they want to do for the manager, lets quit with all the panic and the worry, get behind DC and the players and we can drive us forward together. The way the last 4 seasons have been turned around in a matter of a few months is incredible.

Balanta tweeked his ham string about 5 mins b4 he went off, and looked to be struggling next time he came into view [online viewing] he was holding his leg and wanted off, but Clarke had been talking with his no2 and jesticulating about positions between the "pull" and him coming off, so i think it was a case of the injury happening at an appropriate time, hope that it aint too bad tho
Machrystal looked to be in a fair bit of pain, he took a right bash off of the keepers legs in that crunch, do well to be ready for next game

Well done rovers I feared the worse at half time, best second half ive seen for quite a while inspired by the tireless beard boy or olly mark II.

Sinclair's passion is amazing. Watched at home on telly as had an op yesterday and after his goal to hear him scream 'come on' with the ferocity that he did was really something. Quickly becoming my favourite player.

I felt the turnaround started in the last 15 minutes of the 1st half - until then Gateshead had the ball just passing it around and we didn't seem to be able to get hold of it. Then Ollie came on and the game changed around. I thought Balanta was injured rather than it being tactical but it was hard to tell.
Nick Higgs won the 50/50 and promptly donated the prize money for the youth team funds and Paul Randall got a great reception at half-time when he did a lap of honour with his Harry Bamford Trophy..
All in all the most enjoyable game for at least 3 seasons!

Only managed to get the 2nd half on the radio via the net and that was in bits and pieces due to being in the North Sea , but sounded like the lads put a good hard shift in
And correct me if I'm wrong but is that the first time we have won a televised league game since we beat AFC Wimbledon ?

John Oster plays his 550th game and he still looks about 12..... UTG
bloke in the pub with me; 'I'm sure that Oster has played much higher up, and probably brings something at this level' me; 'he can't have, surely, he doesn't look old enough'

Great win by the Gas, three games without a goal and then three come in one game...!!
Fantastic crowds too, big up to them and long may it continue.

Regardless the sub changed the game. After last week's game that's two shockers by Balanta.

Great win. This squad, and the manager, deserve credit for a great comeback. Is tonight the night we believe we can get out of this hellhole?
Do the squad look fitter than previous years squads?

I said Balanta would be ineffective if he started, but I never expected him to be that poor! I was bemused to see Clarke to come on and it did appear we had nobody playing on the right for the rest of the game, but all's well that ends well.

I'm going to have to buy Stuart Sinclair a pint of cranberry and soda tomorrow - that really was a match winning performance. Awesome 2nd half, great support but best of all super tactical work from our Manager. COYB

It's because they knock the ball around so well the other facts may come to light. We are struggling because they are so comfortable with the ball. When we do get the ball Gateshead close down and the pass isn't there. A very good side Gateshead. Well I think we came out flat and didn't get tight enough early enough and have played scared ever since. Their confidence was built up by that which helped their passing game. So it's probably a bit of both but I'm not prepared to give them that much credit because we were just flat out awful for that first 25 - just as bad as were v Bath City. To be fair since Clarke's come on with the extra man in the centre we've come into it more and they've had less space to wang it around so there may be hope for the second half. I think Gateshead are solid but I don't see anything particularly spectacular there; they don't pass it with any great pace as far as I can see and most of their threat has been well worked cross field balls over the back of the centre backs. I also think their Centre-halfs look slow and hopefully we can exploit that and come storming back. good summary - and excellent prediction
