Who is going to be the first person to complain about the ads?

Who is going to be the first person to complain about the ads? I've managed to block them, but apologies to those on smart phones. It is becoming ridiculous but something I have no control over. Adbloc plus works on computer

I disagree entirely with the journo. (1) there's not many chances to earn revenue and so a trip to Wembley would bring in six figures (2) it's disrespectful to the completion (3) it's still silverware (4) by ignoring this tournament doesn't take away from the reality that we are a conference club (5) playing players to give them just game time doesn't do much for morale and creates a division in the squad (6) stability breeds momentum (7) It's better to be 4-0 up then take off players or ease of the gas than have your reserves compete to get attention and then risk injury through trying to hard (8) we pay the players wages to play football (9) playing first teamers give Bath the respect they deserve and attracts attendances (10) Winning the trophy should remind us of why we have fallen to this level, ignore the mistakes then they will be repeated in the future.

Difficult one to weigh up the pros and cons imo. After the knocks we picked up at Wrexham I think a 2 week rest would be the best policy regarding our walking wounded and I'm now leaning towards the o.p's view that bowing out at he first hurdle will be best for us at this moment in time.Could not give a rats backside about any teds opinion.

Just going on our last two promotion seasons...
1990 - Champions - Leyland Daf Runners-Up. 2007 - Promoted through Playoffs - JPT Runners-Up.
Doing well in cups brings a great atmosphere to the club and helps the battle on all fronts. Bring on the trophy, let's do the double!

Bring on the trophy, let's do the double! and Cambridge utd did the double last season despite playing 60 games. Going to wembley in march (?) for the trophy must a huge help to players if they then get to play-off final. I think going 2-0 down to doncaster early doors taught us something that helped when we later went 1 down tp shrews in first 5 mins at wembley

I always used to think the attitude of big club fans who had to enter the JPT to be snotty and worthy of contempt. I still do.

I still do. bit like the lot south of the river, only just over four thousand last night, but get to wembley in a cup they laugh at and they will be queuing three times around the gate for tickets, i know we arnt much better but four thousand for such a massive club is a joke.

Nick,
I genuinely think you are struggling for content now ... two average at best articles in the last two weeks.
Maybe go to fortnightly or even monthly ?
I'm usually a big fan ... but to say its repetitive and doesn't represent the view of the fan base are two very quick thoughts for you.

I quite like the blog and if we were playing anyone other than Bath I'd stick up for it.
But the fact we're playing Bath appeals to me and I think we should contrive to draw the game.
Otherwise though the Trophy is a pointless distraction and signifies the lowly status we're at.

The most embarrassing article ever written about rovers by a so called rovers fan - cringeworty in fact and way off the mark in terms of reality. As DC has clearly stated we need to play our best side and go out to win this cup alongside the league. If this is the standard of your submissions now please give up now and we can get a city fan to write them on our behalf. Like City I'm sure they want to win their embarrassing tin pot cup at Wembley as well.

I tend to agree that these articles are one persons view BUT this is a forum so if people reply (like they have) and discuss (like they have) then it is worthwhile. Personally I would say that EVERY player should WANT to play at Wembley no matter what tghe competition and therefore it is worth playing for.Remember as well that it is not going to be easy as for many of these clubs we could play the match against us would be like a Cup Final because of our attendances and League History. The truth is that tomorrows match is important because it will give players on loan another match, give us a chance to play a few of the squad that aren't playing at the moment but which wouldn't reduce the quality of the team that much (Leadbitter,Trotman,Harrison etc),give us a chance to give Balanta more match fitness, give the keeper a chance to get a better understanding - there are many reasons why a run in this cup could be useful. I think if the OP took a vote that over 3-1 fans would disagree with the article and therefore in all honesty it might have been better to run a Poll rather than write the article!!!!

"The fact that we can actually take part in this competition is a huge black mark against everyone who has played a part in dragging this great club into the soul-destroying wilds of non-league football"
Not sure any regular supporters of Rovers agree with that view, we are where we are and all we can do is make the most of it until we can regain our league, having a "this is all beneath us" attitude won't help us gain promotion.
Perhaps if the OP actually made an effort to watch Rovers at the Mem regularly he would feel differently?
