As you can see we are having problems with avatars not displaying correctly. Our technical support (Strung Out) is still in bed right now but I'll ask him to look at it when he gets up. Anyone got his number?

The reason people's avatars are showing strangely is because I've set a limit of avatar size to 64x64 pixels like it was on the old forum. If your avatar is bigger than this, then it only shows the top 64 pixels of the image. I can increase the avatar size limit, but would recommend people resize their avatar choice first, because otherwise it leads to a very cluttered interface, where huge avatars end up taking great swathes of screen space.

I just re-sized my avatar to 64*64 and this happened.

I've set the limit back to 150x150 pixels as a temporary measure. As you can see though, it leads to a lot of extra space in each profile/post. Let me know if you'd prefer it to be like this, or if you'd like me to continue looking at how to have smaller avatars (without the buggy layout)

On the main gas guzzler page the blue envelopes don't light up when a thread has a new message, just stays a faded blue colour like it's been read with no new posts.

See what you mean - I don't think there's a setting to change this unfortunately as any thread with new posts is highlighted by the 'new' button. I've changed the icon to the non faded version, but the forum won't fade them out after they've been read unfortunately

My little pirate pussy cat looks fine.
I cut and pasted it from my profile on the old forum.
EDIT - I don't seem to be able to preview my post, or is that just me?
