Used to think that going to grounds like,Wimbledon,Exeter and Dagenham was a bit of a hoot even though the 'Mem' was amongst the worst but Braintree,Altrincham, Southport and Welling have really hit home where we actually are .When we're back though,I will look back on these grounds with a smile and great memories, friendly people(Telford top) and totally unpretentious. Yes I'm sure that's true with opposing fans that you've met.I like to have a nose around on their forums and we are generally seen as the 'we're gonna walk this league' brigade and that's before we even play them.I don't know a single Gashead who ever thought that and have seen no comments along those lines on here either.BBB billy big bollox ? is how we are described by someone on the Welling forum which I find out of order when they advertise the game as slaying the Giants of Bristol not us.

tbh I think it's inevitable really that no matter how we act, we'll be seen as bigheads who are there to be taken down. I shouldn't worry about it, what matters is that I believe the management, players and most of the supporters aren't taking that attitude and have been largely realistic about where we are and what we have to do

A very good match report, thanks for posting, always nice to get a report of the atmosphere also, especially as an ex pat unable to attend.
