The tosser who dropped his drawers was indeed arrested and carted off in a police van. Talked to a copper after the game who said he wasn't a Rovers fan just some scally from liverpool on the piss with some mate who thought it would be amusing to expose himself.

Wreckless, Of course you are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine. I saw two good teams playing a lot of good football. if the first half was abysmal (one of the worse you have seen) then you obviously haven't been to many games in the past 5 years even this season!! It would seem from a lot of replies on both forums that many support my view and very few were critical of the performance. So perhaps I should say how anyone can say that was not a good game I don't know. Football is all about opinions. if you had said the finishing was abysmal in the first half I could probably agree with you but some of the general play from us was very good and the second half was as much down to good passing by both sides as to bad defending. Anyway perhaps a "In my opinion it was a poor game or an abysmal game" would have been better than "How can anyone say it was a credit to the Conference" because just because others don't see it your way does not mean you are right or wrong. Football is all about opinions and i respect your view even if I think you are wrong.

You can't use L2 as a point of reference and not include the defeat to a team cast adrift at the bottom of that division, who hadn't won any of their previous 12 games before facing Rovers. You have included the Tranmere defeat in the '8 out of the last 12 have been away from home', but left it out when mentioning 1 defeat in 10 games. Admire your determination to find a positive way to look at things, but as you say, statistics can be misleading, so how about these: 3 wins from the last 11 games, and one of those was against a Southern League outfit. Chester are only in this division because Hereford went into meltdown, they are not even a full time club and set this season's playing budget based on them being in the Conference North. ''Pretty average'' for Rovers is towards the top of the 3rd tier, not drawing against bankrupt and part time 5th tier (or 6th tier in the case of where Chester should be) rubbish. BG, the season is less than half done and after a dreadful start we are now in the play-off hunt. Most of us feared before the season started that we would finish mid table but DC has been steadily assembling a squad that is looking more cohesive and becoming difficult to beat. I am more confident of us getting promotion now (probably through the playoffs as Barnet look like the stand out team) than I was before the season started. SteveK is right to be positive - none of us beleives it is acceptable for a team like Rovers to be in the Conference but DC is looking a good bet toi get us straight back up - and that will have been the first time that has happened for 10 years which is an achievement when you see how long it took Oxford and Luton to get back into the league Out of interest how are we looking a better bet than any of the other top 11 teams to go up, apart from the fact we know DC must have a decent budget compared to some of the teams around us?

I spent 14 years in the forces, of course I've been naked in public! however what i didn't do was standing in front of 3000 people and a load of coppers and wave my meat and 2 veg at the world. The Evil Post dont need encouragement to write a negative story about Rovers at the moment so I'm surprised it wasn't all over the front page, leaving out the critical fact that he wasn't a Gashead or from Bristol! ......should I have said full frontal page!

The first half was instantly forgettable, the second half we looked like we were going to win at least 3:0 and possibly more then they got one "flukey" goal back and their crowd got right behind them and by the end it could have gone either way and either team could have won it late.

Agree that we both have a right to an opinion.

He is the lad who has been at a few Northern away games. He was at Southport and likes to run sideways along the front of the stand clapping his hands in the air....

Chester deserve to be where they are now, we had plenty of "lucky" escapes ~ remember Halifax! They had a good recent home record before Saturday and played some good passing football but I do admit until we lost the plot they didn't have much punch in front of goal. I think however you are being disingenuous to them ~ they have had to fight their way back up the league and crowds of 2,500 to 3,000 after where they have been isn't bad. They have done the miles in front of crowds of a few hundred (mostly their fans) at places like Kendal. You might think we don't deserve to be where we are, but this is where we are and we could end up like Chester if we don't get promoted soon. DC is part way to achieving that. Don't forget to a lot of clubs we are a scalp they want and it is harder in this league than people think, part timers or not!

Sorry but why even bother defending the performance when we have given a 2 goal lead away?

They turned professional last summer, Bamber. I thought they had given squad members 2 days a week off to work elsewhere? just a question- do you think Rovers players work 5 days a week 9-5pm? We train at most 3 mornings a week like virtually every full time club. 'Part time' clubs tend to train 3 evenings a week. The difference is tiny in terms of hours in training, although full time pro's can do more conditioning work in day time when not on the pitch training.

If they only train 3 times a week that may explain why they can't beat part time 5th tier rubbish? Here you go, a week at wigan, How full time athletes train, and most of it is about application rather than expensive facilities. And I'm not blaming the players, as has been said many times by others, at last we seem to have a squad who want to do their best, but it's up to the club to give those players the tools they need to do their job.

I will support the team all I can at the match, but I wont congratulate them capitulating against the likes of Chester having been 2-0 up.
