Plus throwing a few flares on the pitch. Bristol City fans let off flares in the first half of the match at the County Ground

I wonder if they get 5 year banning orders? I very much doubt it! I hope this gets blown up just like our problems did in the media .condescending cants! No, never in this world. But we won't have to put up with it for too much longer, because history tells us that as soon as they start to lose the odd game (like yesterday ) or two, then their fans will start to grumble, and the grumbling will get louder until they finally erupt. Cue breaking up opposition grounds, jeering your own players and finally they will almost definitely be spitting at their own players. Such charming habits that they have. My only concern is that we should avoid any such behaviour ourselves. Avoid cross-contamination at all costs, eh? They're full of natural charm south of the river, whilst they're winning that is.

Said on BBC Points West this morning that there was a 'fracar' and 2 men still in custody.
When its Rovers involved the media make out it's a full scale war.

Seems there was a fracas in the tunnel as the players went off - shows it on their video and the officials watching. Along with SC having to be restrained physically after the sending off I'm sure the FA would have a field day if these incidents were in the referees report. If it was us it would make National news but you can bet there will be no investigations or suspensions affecting their promotion charge as they get let off again.

doesn't say about which clubs the fans come from or what they were arrested for on any off those reports which I had already read does say both sides were throwing things and I have seen a video where the police horses are between both sets of fans which suggests that actually both were throwing stuff at eachother it just happens the police horses were in the middle

Smoke flares excepted, it doesn't sound much different from my experiences of following Rovers to Swindon

Interesting stats from Wiltshire police. I wonder whether they consider that a golden rule? “We know only one per cent of people coming today are intent on violence. We still have to be here because actually we know three per cent aren’t intent on violence, but will join in if it kicks off.”
