Unfortunately Sinclair runs and runs without actually contributing much to our attacking play. I've yet to see him make a run or put through a killer pass, seems like he plays a rushing game on his own whilst the rest play a different game....

I thought the half time substitutions were non-sensical. We'd had the better of the first half, but we were struggling to get the ball in the box. White hadn't played badly, so to withdraw him after 45 minutes was harsh.
Martin had played badly and I was surprised he started. Replacing him with Clarke was a waste of a sub though.
And then taking Brunt off compounded the problem, their goal came as a direct result of expecting Harrison to mark a big man at a corner.
So 0-1 and no subs left. Well played DC.
I'm pleased Taylor scored, and I'd hesitate to say he couldn't miss, but his celebration was over the top when we could and should have had time to get a winner. If he'd buried the header, that would've been the time to celebrate properly.
Highlight of the match was Lee Brown's unprovoked and murderous assault on an innocent corner flag. Snap!

Surely the HT substitutions had to happen. Martin was awful, White totally off the pace. The changes made sense but took a while to come off. Taylor is our best striker despite his lack of goal because White, Brunt and at times Ellis are seemingly incapable even at this level. Not sure why you expect our CF to mark their CF at a corner. Surely that's what Tom Parkes is there for. To to be honest I thought DC called his initial selection and his substitutions as most of us would. The main problem is we are just not good enough in the opponents half. Time to send Martin back and offload White and Brunt if anyone will have them! COYB

Was Brunt/Harrison really marking Blisset, or did he just completely lose McChrystal? If the former I admit it's an odd choice, as you can't imagine Brunt being marked by Blisset at the other end!
Still feel he should have done a straight swap of Clarke for Sinclair and hoped Martin improved if we had a midfielder who could pass to him. The Sinclair miss control when put clean though seems to have gone unnoticed on the forum so far?

The point wasn't that Harrison specifically was supposed to be marking Blissett, but that by failing to mark anyone they had a man spare.
A double substitution at half time "had to happen" and is what most would have done? Pull the other one.
Brunt and White weren't awful, the service to them was. Getting Della Verde onto the left wing sorted that out, but he didn't need to make a sub to achieve that.

Another point towards doing the unthinkable, scrappy game but the effort, attitude & fitness pulled us through, you would have never thought we were 4th with the amount of poisonous s***e posted online, and the atmosphere was embarrassing today. If 12 months ago people put as much effort into demanding better, as they are now, maybe we wouldn't have got relegated. I find that pretty disgusting coming from someone who started a disgusting thread based on hearing bulls**t from a friend of a friend's friend. Still who needs strikers that score goals?

Harrison & Taylor up front as a two, does not work. Putting Sinclair onto the wing is also ridiculous and a clear waste of our most energetic box to box player. The midfield really does go to pot when this happens.
Watching Ollie Clarke stroll around like it's a training game, is also a huge frustration. The game just passes him by time and time again. Poor old Mansell does the running for two blokes!

How can Ellis get his head on the ball and direct it properly when defending, yet not when attacking??
I'm waiting for a Twilight Zone episode where he scores with his head.....and I mean on the pitch, not off it.
