will the board push the boat out and sign 2 or 3 quality players for this level on loan or in the january window? more to the point i guess is can they afford to?
i like our tough, fit and honest team but we just need a bit more class to a] make sure were in the play offs and b] challenge to win the league
what do others think?

You don't need to be a footballing expert to see where our problems are, just a mathematician. Only hope the board have done the numbers and we can count on them to do the right thing.

Maybe now that the last 'hurdle' with the extension of delivery hours has been sorted, the board will dig into their pockets? Watola said the diggers would be in by March.. Would be nice if we were still in the top 3 or 4 come then, with another striker and some more creativity in the middle of the park.

What players would want to come to us? Remember we are non league, it's not so easy to attract players and John Ward said it was difficult to attract players when we were in the football league. I'm sure DC is looking, but I would rather him sign nobody than a desperate signing.

If you are consistently in the top 6 of the conference you could argue that you're in a stronger position to sign players than struggling teams from leagues above. Footballers want to win championships and possibly have a chance to play at Wembley in a play-off final rather than playing in a relegation battle albeit at a higher level.

That's true, hopefully that will be the case.

We've already got 1 potentially quality player in Balanta, if he gets fit, with Cunnington already gone back and Martin due to in January, the club would be daft not to put whatever we were paying them towards one or two more. Poor results/form will cause attendances to plummet over the winter months otherwise.

Reidy knows were the nets is, I dont see him charhging around like that hapless Matty Taylor. fact.

What footballer is seriously going to turn down a decent wage at a promotion chasing club, either DC's targeting league players who don't want to play non league football or we're not offering enough in wages.
There can't be a worse place to attract players than Swansea, which is an awful place to get to and live once you get there. but they've proven that's not held then back.

I don't know whether Plymouth struggle to sign players but it could be said they've been underachieving in recent seasons too (not this season though). I am going by what John Ward said last season.

We have the chance to get a top Quality striker in for this Leauge and the clowns that run us wont sanction it! Now what were the results of the top to bottom review! Oh yeah the board were exonerated from all blame it was all down to not scoring enough goals!!! So I'm sure they wouldn't make the same mistake again would they.....

Well if we don't sign at least one striker in the window lets see what excuses they come up with this time. I live in hope though because we all know how desperately we need to sign these, even the BoD aren't stupid enough to realise they have to seize the opportunity and make an all out push for promotion ... are they?

Not strictly true Dc knows there was scope for 2 players and now that Cunnington has gone there is more in the kitty. If you are talking about Tubbs he is on a season long loan at the wombles and can only be recalled in January if there is a permanent deal on offer,he cannot be recalled from 1 loan just to go straight out again if it is a season long loan As an aside i recently suggested a player to Neil Lennon from a non league club and he had him in on trial and has given him a contract till the end of the season. I recommended 3 goalscorers to DC a few weeks ago and the action has been missing. What does that tell you
