Was it just us they slated?!
I paid £19 to stand up at Barnet & £17 at mid table Eastleigh.
Would be interested if any of these clubs, or any others were mentioned.

Because if we don't charge that then the club will lose even more money. Either you want a club or you don't!!! There are plenty who chose to stay away and its not because of the price. Unless there is a valid reason do they deserve a club?

I think clubs push it as far as they can get away with; whatever they think the fans will take.
And some times they really take the mickey out of away supporters. I remember at Macclesfield one game they wouldn't let Gasheads stand on the away end ~ safety reasons ~ and made us all go in the stand. Of course it was more to go in the stand ~ convenient that!

I know plenty of people who don't go to Rovers anymore because they don't think it's worth the money so I don't think this is a small issue that we just sweep under the carpet. Obviously this is not about Rovers themsleves but current cost of going to football - we don't particularly stand out in that regard.
There are many reasons people stop going to watch their sides but cost is a massive one. For me £18 is too much to watch football at the level we play at. I can afford it so I pay it when I can go but I don't think it's good value for money (particularly at the Mem) and if I was short of money in any sense at all there's no way I could justify it as a reasonable expense. I think the debate about the cost of football is a good one and well worth having - people are being priced out and being excluded from something they have done all their lives, it's not about Rovers being victimised here it's about football clubs taking their fans for as much money as possible just because they can; can't complain then if people walk away.

I am one that's no longer going,I don't believe a word that this useless board are saying. Last season we were crying out for a goal scorer that would of kept us in the league ,boards reaction "We will be OK" .This season not a bloody thing has changed ,still need that striker. UWE has had more delays than British rail,so much so no one bats a eyelid when yet another " it will start in a few months time " is announced yet again.Maybe if my friends came back from a match and said I missed a cracking, entertaining game then I might be tempted, but it has not happens yet.So i will stick to watching local parks football ,you go home with a smile on your face and a few quid still in you pocket.

The prices Barnet charge have always been scandalous. Think it it was Buckles last game in charge, no tickets had been made available in advance and surprise surprise when we arrived there they were only selling adult tickets at £17 a pop. No student rate, no OAP/Concessions. Will never go back to that horrible little club after that. (unless it's for the playoffs)

That's a shame. It's not like you to refuse the chance to go on and on about Rovers on the air Does Sue still prattle on about marriage, or has she shelled some now to talk about? Barcelona the same price as Rovers is a disgrace, no matter how you dress it up.

I was quite surprised to see Barnet are selling a replica adult shirt of nearly £50! I thought ours were expensive enough.

if you want to buy the cheapest ticket at Barcelona on Saturday it will cost you €39. The most expensive ticket is quoted at €460 - with many options in between. So the cheapest tickets are in reality twice the price of our tickets and the vast majority are well in excess of that. Messi or Sinclair.......no contest....!!

Not heard the programme but it seems somewhat unfair to single a particularly lowly club out, compare them to a club in a completely different country, league etc whose revenue streams and finances occupy a different universe to our own.
Yes, it's too expensive. But it's the effect on the entire industry of the nonsense money being paid to the top clubs from Sky etc and the subsequent inflation of wages from top to bottom. Pointing the finger at Rovers (or anyone else below the top flight) and saying 'how dare you charge people £15/18/20/whatever for football' when cutting prices substantially would see that club lose out to their competitors is ridiculous. It needs to be addressed across the board.
