...was higher than 20 of the 24 games played in the two divisions above us. Feel free to be simultaneously proud of our supporters and frustrated at where the club is Excellent support I'm not surprised though!! Btw I think the City thing was a typo, it was 10,000 plus for the final game my City pal tells me!! ah, the other 8,000 were waiting in the park for the chester firm

Saturday was the biggest league crowd Dover have ever played in front of. By the way, there hasn't actually been a football club called a Bristol City for 32 years now.

What that we'll get a 10k gate? Who remembers when they were bottom of the football league and playing in front of 2,500 at home? I thought they don't care about us anymore & were not their rivals(even though they have a 67000 page thread about us on the go sshhhhh....)Insecure perhaps? Unfortunately in 1982 city averaged 6511 and we averaged 5402 according to this website www.stadium-attendances.com/bristolrovers,historical,attendances.html Crowds were a lot smaller back then so you can't judge against crowds of this era

It was a pretty dark time for football

We have just as much potenial as Bcfc do, always have done..In fact in terms of growth,we have properly more areas to develope as sadly for the better part of the two clubs history they have always be a half a step ahead of us...etc home gates they attract/capacity of A#hton Gate.
While 6-7000 for a non league game is outstanding its shocking really for the potenial this club has! If we were doing well in the championship or above in the Uwe this club would be on fire

5500 at Walsall Saturday for the top of the table game v City! That's a bit of a silly comment and says more about Walsall. We had the largest following in the Football League this weekend. Last weekend in top v 2nd at home we were sold out. At least try and stay realistic..... Top Championship Away Followings this weekend: # 1st: Brighton (1,886) 2nd: Ipswich (1,672) 3rd: Reading (1,628) Football Away Days Top League One Away Followings this weekend: 1st: Bristol City (1,979) 2nd: Sheffield United (1,957) 3rd: Doncaster (1,728) Football Away Days Top League Two Away Followings this weekend: 1st: Luton Town (1,897) 2nd: Portsmouth (984) 3rd: Tranmere Rovers (886)

According to the ep the 82ers took 1300 to Walsall and thought that was a good turnout poor fools As I said, we had the highest following in the football league. We took just under 2,000 which was above our 1,875 allocation actually. 1,300 is wrong. It was even announced at Walsall as 1,900+. A very good turnout.

Ah, but nowhere near as good as the 5000 we took to Walsall on 9th April 1983. ...........but then the travel was paid for by the club and we lost 5-0 on the day

According to the ep the 82ers took 1300 to Walsall and thought that was a good turnout poor fools But you must remember midlandgas, that essentially your average B*FC supporter is a glory hunter, nothing more nothing less. Perhaps many of them didn't see the possibility of much glory on a Saturday afternoon in October in down-town Walsall, after all it is 94 miles away. No doubt they'll preen their feathers and stick out their chests, but they could just as easily start spitting at their own players. Yet another endearing trait that they have developed south of the river. They're a funny lot over there, and no mistake.

Suspect the Post was reporting ticket sales so far - the 1300 figure came out early last week so no doubt more were sold as the week went on Seem to remember being in away followings of c2000 at Bescot so that's more or less the away capacity
