Isn't it today that Rod gets elected as supporters' representative to the board?

As most of the voting is by post I expect Brian already knows how the voting is going. I should imagine that as he hasn't been rushing around the other forum he must feel safe. Complacency has lost many a vote though!

Complacency has lost many a vote though! Kevin Spencer is far more likely to be chosen by Mr Higgs as the new life president of the club than Mr Seymour Smith is of losing his seat in Box Number One!

I wondered why Northville Blue had been quiet on here for a few days

Complacency has lost many a vote though! Totally agree, he knows that he's safe already. To be honest, I think Rod may have thrown in the towel, haven't heard from him for ages? Other parts of BSS's rambling report that caught my eye, Why is it necessary? He then reminds us that, Yes Brian, that hasn't gone unnoticed.

Not sure why everyone was so overawed by this Rod character anyway? He was just a guy who started a thread on the forums stating the obvious and asking for votes off the back of it. If that's all it takes then 80% of us on here are in with a shout of a seat on the board.

BSS's report, as I see it, is the one to be presented to the AGM, hence 'tonight.'
Rod, like BRISA, went off like a train but hit the buffers.

As they were sent out a couple of months ago and would have been finding their way back to the shop they are probably in two piles now ~ Brian's and Rod's. I am sure based on past history that Brian will know the scores on the doors ~ or should that be in the piles?

I agree with you but based on the track record of these elections and the rallying of troops when it appears that one of their own is under a challenge from an "outsider" it would be naive of us to believe they would remain secret.

on voting papers, at least these are pre printed and capable of audit, and not torn up bits of paper requiring a tick in a box

Isn't the point that the fans' director should be someone active, innovative and forthright? Not someone who posted one thread on a forum and though that was enough.

The position isnt needed anyway.
If anyone can truly give me a reason what they have acheived or what actual purpose they serve then maybe i could change my mind on the role
Lets not forget the royal we agreed to vote to dilute our own shareholding which is now less or barely increased for the total of a million quid
The SC has been losing money, what are the fans directors doing about that?

Perhaps with respect you should read my election address LJG on the supporters web site, there are proposals there you can look at,we are not re-inventing the wheel here. Will you be voting? You say stating the obvious, aren`t most of the problems obvious to the majority of fans ? What innovations would you put forward?I am campaigning for more openess and accountability,a better run football club with a plan for the future, better financial management and a sound infrastructure, there have been quite a few long serving employees that have lost their jobs, whilst the person who implemented the cuts remains in a job, despite apparently not forseeing the possibility of relegation. I would be happy to meet you before the game on Saturday to discuss these issues face-to-face,my only reason for standing was to offer a challenge to the status quo and perhaps the opportunity for the supporters to have an independent voice in the boardroom,I had the choice to do something or nothing,I chose the former. I hope you don`t see this as an attack on you personally,I am interested to get a different perspective on matters. Best Wishes. Rod.

Rod. Before you fly off the handle and steam into Watola, who in my opinion should be long gone but obviously the board want to keep, you are aware that the successful candidate has to have his ascension ratified by the BoD? Can you give details of your experience organising budgets in similar sized organisations and specifics please as to how you intend to introduce and impliment better financial management and what in your opinion constitutes a 'sound infrastructure'?
