This single was not released in the UK, but it was a big hit in the USA where it charted at 46 and 7 on dance, always liked it...

Bonkers brilliance from the Cure. I have been calling this track "Caterpillar Girl" (incorrectly) for the last 39 years...

Fascination Street / Disintegration My son rates The Cure above Radiohead and The Smiths... high praise indeed. Not sure this one made the dance charts! But he maintains this album along with Pornography are the Cure at their best.

This track is why Paul Weller got a lifetime ban from the Colston Hall, fans ripped up seats and threw them, as instructed by Paul in the song... I was not aware of this. Although The Jam didn't play CH again, the ban hasn't extended into his solo career, and he has played there several times as a solo artist.

To complete my trilogy of page 105 posts, all three in fact form quiz of the week!
Something links all three. I’m not looking for the collective term for them, I’m looking for the name of each one so prominently featured in each piece

All I know is that Sigur Ros sing in a made up language part Icelandic, part 'Hopelandic', ie. mostly gibberish.

The Jam played their only gig at the CH in may 1979 and PW has played there in 2005, 2008, 2017, they probably seen that he had mellowed after 25 years later. The Jam also played there in November 1978 and PW also played there in 1994, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2003.

Iconic Queen song dropped from the group's Greatest Hits album in latest 'woke' move..
One of the Queen's best-loved songs, Fat Bottomed Girls has been mysteriously dropped from the group's new Greatest Hits collection, it has been reported.
Written by guitarist Brian May, the 1978 track has been enjoyed by generations of fans as a humorous and hard-rocking tribute to a young man's appreciation of fuller-figured ladies.
However, 45 years later, it appears that lyrics such as "left alone with big fat Fanny, she was such a naughty nanny, big woman, you made a bad boy out of me" and "fat bottomed girls, you make the rockin' world go round" have been hit by the "woke" cancel culture, according to MailOnline.
The track vanished from the band's greatest hits album after Universal Records announced they would be releasing a version of the record on Yoto - an audio platform aimed at young people.
Fat Bottomed Girls was such a success when appeared fourth on the band's original 1981 greatest hits album, along with Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now and We Will Rock You.
The move has left music industry insiders bemused, with bosses insisting that Fat Bottomed Girls has wrongly been singled out as it is "merely a bit of fun".
One told The Mail on Sunday: "It is the talk of the music industry, nobody can work out why such a good-natured, fun song can't be acceptable in today's society.
"It is woke gone mad. Why not appreciate people of all shapes and sizes like society is saying we should, rather than get rid of it."
"It's outrageous," they added.
Fat Bottomed Girls has long sparked debate about the suitability of its lyrics, and the promotional material that accompanied the release.
The original sleeve for the song, which was taken from Queen's album Jazz, featured a scantily clad female riding a bicycle but was altered after some stores refused to stock it.
SO IT HAS TO BE...
