Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen attacked outside hotel in Florida..
Def Leppard’s drummer Rick Allen was attacked outside a Fort Lauderdale hotel in Florida this week.
The 59-year-old drummer was reportedly smoking a cigarette near the valet at the Four Seasons Hotel And Residences, Fort Lauderdale, when a 19-year-old male suspect ran toward the musician and knocked him over.
The attack caused Allen to fall and hit his head on the ground, causing injury, according to the police.
The Independent has contacted Allen’s representatives for comment.
The person who allegedly hit Allen has been identified as Max Hartley. He is also said to have allegedly attacked a woman who came to help the drummer when he fell down.
According to Fox News, Hartley struck the woman before she attempted to run back to the hotel.
He was later arrested by the police in the parking lot of a neighbouring hotel, the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Hilton.
According to the authorities, he was found by Conrad hotel staff in the parking garage allegedly damaging vehicles.

U2 level with David Bowie as latest album sees band clinch 11th UK number one..
U2 have secured their 11th UK number one album with Songs Of Surrender, the Official Charts Company said.
The Irish rock group, made up of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr, have seen records such as 2009’s No Line On The Horizon and 2004’s How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb climb to the top of the charts.
Their first British number one album in more than a decade has now put the band at level pegging with David Bowie, whose hit records include 1983’s Let’s Dance.
The band are a few top records short of the act with the most number one albums on the Official UK Chart, which is The Beatles on 15.
Here is my favourite U2 song - New Years Day.

Jimi Hendrix amplifier maker Marshall sold in £325m deal..
The British family-owned business behind Marshall amplifiers, used by everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Slash, has been sold to a Swedish maker of Bluetooth speakers in a deal valuing the combined group at £325million.
Under the agreement, all Marshall brands will be acquired by Stockholm-based Zound Industries for an undisclosed amount, made up of cash and shares. The pair will form a new company, Marshall Group.
Marshall Amplification, based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, was founded by ‘The Father of Loud’ Jim Marshall in 1962.

Happy Birthday today to Angus Young of AC/DC...68 years young...My favourite AC/DC line-up was with Bon Scott.
Angus is brilliant in this video, his headbanging and the famous Duck-Walk...

Lasse Wellander: Abba pay tribute to guitarist's 'musical brilliance'..
Abba have paid tribute to long-serving guitarist Lasse Wellander, saying his "musical brilliance" played "an integral role in the Abba story".
Wellander first worked with the Swedish quartet as a session musician on their self-titled 1975 album and became the main guitarist on their subsequent LPs.
He can be heard on hits such as Knowing Me, Knowing You, Thank You for the Music and The Winner Takes It All.
"Lasse was a dear friend, a fun guy and a superb guitarist," Abba said.
He died on Friday at the age of 70.
"The importance of his creative input in the recording studio as well as his rock solid guitar work on stage was immense," the group continued in a statement.
"We mourn his tragic and premature death and remember the kind words, the sense of humour, the smiling face, the musical brilliance of the man who played such an integral role in the Abba story.
"He will be deeply missed and never forgotten."

Metallica land first UK number one album in 15 years..By Paul Glynn - Entertainment reporter.
US heavy metal band Metallica have landed their fourth UK number one album and first in 15 years, with 72 seasons.
Their 11th LP outsold the rest of the top five combined on Friday.
"Number one in the UK? Spectacular! We're grateful," they told the Official Charts Company. "Thank you, UK - we can't wait to see you!"
This year's Download headliners previously topped the chart with their eponymous 1991 album Metallica, 1996's Load and Death Magnetic from 2008.
Their latest offering, which contains typically dark, powerful tracks like Screaming Suicide, proved to be the most popular vinyl release of the past seven days too, ahead of Saturday's Record Store Day.
It was described by the BBC's music correspondent Mark Savage as one of the California band's "hardest, most pulverising records to date - a continuous onslaught of riffs that falls on you like a landslide".
Track List - 77 Minutes
1.."72 Seasons"
2.."Shadows Follow"
3.."Screaming Suicide"
4.."Sleepwalk My Life Away"
5.."You Must Burn!"
6.."Lux Æterna"
7.."Crown of Barbed Wire"
8.."Chasing Light"
9.."If Darkness Had a Son"
10.."Too Far Gone?"
11.."Room of Mirrors"
12.."Inamorata"

Couple of decent singles. No more than that. IMHO.
