Were you there yesterday ? That question is irrelevant. Explain how you "Sack the board" of a private limited company. I think you will find the answer is the same whether you were there or not. Exactly. If you listen to fools mate, the mob rules.

You're deluded if you think Nick Higgs would ever lower himself to read anything on this or any other forum so there is no point addressing anything to him here. Why do you think they closed the Official Forum down ? The Director's think we're all idiots or keyboard warriors who are just sounding off and hold us in total disregard. It's important that we debate the issues and sound off about them here but it is equally important that we are respectful of those who have differing views. No matter how angry or frustrated we may feel about what is happening, lets be considered and constructive in how we express them amongst one another....good luck Rest assured, he reads it. and unfortunately the only one he listens to seems to be Twatola

Someone who went today..........If you are reading this, please for once acknowledge and do something.......Our club is f******g dying and it is ALL YOUR FAULT.........
"Today for the first time ever I witnessed the patient Bristol Rovers reject it's medicine and treatment.......the club is dying, 50 fans hurled abuse at the players but the majority left in stunned silence, even the fans are giving hope because they no longer have the anger or emotion, we are witnessing this collapse. I'm told Higgs and Bradshaw never went today? Dunford resigned, Kirsty the PR resigned, there are no beacons of hope at this moment. If Nick Higgs ever needed to do a Winston Churchill battle cry it's now, today was so sad to see, the team gave up today with 30 mins to go today, the manager admitted, we've never seen us do this against a part time side, they gave up and the fans are starting as well and that will be the death nail of the club"
Without trying to sound flippant, Aldershot, what is your friend really saying? As we learned at the Q&A, in the summer ex directors Colin Williams and Mike Turl offered to help, but they have been knocked back. Same with that Eales guy. I am guessing the choice is Mr Higgs or nothing. My mate who went today - and deeply regrets a day he will never get back again - tells me that Mr Masters was the only director present today and fair play to the old boy because it's almost as far from Lincoln, where he lives, to Braintree, as it is from Bristol. I'm not sure the departures of Mr Dunford or Mrs Stilwell will have any meaningful effect on the running of the club but I suspect given Mr Higgs' limitations in the communications department you are more likely to get Iain Duncan Smith than Winston Churchill. "Something must be done" is just a slogan. What, specifically, does your friend want and what is s/he prepared to do about it? The answer at Rovers is usually silence, which means nothing. And that is why we are in the Conference (in my opinion). Because the current Board are scared that it would show others could do better (after all if it wasn't for them there would be no Bristol Rovers!)

There is a good possibility that City will be the 2nd tier and Rovers the 5th, non-league (if we're lucky) next season, if that happens the chances of attracting future generations of supporters will be almost be irrevocably gone. Please Higgs and co, unless you want to go down as the men that killed Bristol Rovers cut your losses and hand the club over to the supporters. I think Higgs is guilty of us being non league, but so are a lot of the supporters. Hands up if you wanted the entire div one squad sacked when we were relegated from div 1. Hands up if you were one of those who thought Buckle was the man to take us up. Hands up if you welcomed the signing of Matt Harold, and so on. All those decisions were made by the board and most people thought they were the right decisions. So most of you agreed with the boards decisions. As for Clarke being out of his depth i am old enough to remember the same thing being said about Gerry Francis, the first time. The days when we had no expectations other than to be in existence the following week. Of course we had a better chairman then. I think it would be fair to have higher expectations of a chairman of a football club over an ordinary supporter.
