Well, the international break has put an end to my usual matchday experience.
Instead of getting up at 2:45am, putting on the kettle, tuning into BRFC TV and then spending the next two hours hurling abuse at the TV, I'll be blissfully pushing up the Z's.
What about the rest of us?
If you're heading to an alternative game, how about providing a few updates here?

What about the rest of us? If you're heading to an alternative game, how about providing a few updates here? I'll be off to Benfleet vs Sawbridgeworth this afternoon in the Essex Senior League. Might be able to able to post a HT update. I have found grass roots football an excellent way to spend an afternoon. Cheap. Helping a local community asset. Invariably decent people running and supporting their local Club. Have a beer - in sight of the pitch! While the game is actually being played! No problems parking. Games kick off at 3pm and you're back in your car and away by 5pm. Bound to be a local game near wherever you live. Not sure about the grass roots scene in NZ to be fair. Particularly at 3am. Tiers 8-10 offer the best value entertainment IMHO. Enjoy.

Living in South East Cornwallum these days so I might either go for a hike up over the moor with my camera and some fresh air or if I do feel the need for a footy fix then the local team are at home to Okehampton Argyle in the SW Peninsula League Prem division at Marshfield Parc so I could also take a stroll along to watch that. Either of the two should be a good way to spend a ‘ Blank ‘ Saturday afternoon !

The local derby between Lizard Point Dredgers and Bettyhill Grouts takes place today, though passions are higher than usual what with the rumours that both teams are 'borrowing' players from DDSL thirds. There may be crowd trouble, I fear.

Excellent op.
Ha! The cancellation of a match isn't going to stop me from resisting the power of osmosis draw to the fabled Road.
I'll be a reprobate at some point on Gloucester Road and that'll be my sport for the day.
A shame the club couldn't organise a friendly, woman's match or development squad game to offer, or even a fun day!? I'm not saying it'll break attendance or receipt records, but it may have whetted a few thousand appetites to attend and keep the profile of the club going because I see this as a missed opportunity..

Chesterfield vs Notts County. With my WHU supporting friend and the friend he goes to their games with as they chase the 92 club. They are 20+ grounds ahead of me in this respect though this game gets me one closer too

1-1 at HT. Entertaining game. County’s equaliser came down Flash’s side - he is playing LB. He got down the line once and then as per us no end product. No love lost between the two sets of fans. Home chant … “You know what you are…. You scabby b'stards …. You know what you are”

FT 2-2 - a decent watch. 3 goals for old warhorses Madden Grigg and McGoldrick. Chesterfield took the lead with about 15 to go when Grigg looped a header into top corner from a decent RW cross. Brown came on with 5 to go and had a hand in County equaliser when his cut back in added on time caused mayhem in home box and at least one shot was blocked with a hand. Keeper pulled off an excellent save from resulting pen but rebound fell right back to McGoldrick and he wasn’t going to pass up the second invitation to score. Fair result on balance of play though home side will be kicking themselves as they had defended really well up to that point.
Best player on the day Dan Crowley who was a real handful when Morecambe thumped us 5-0 about 18 months ago. Crowd an impressive 10032 and decent atmosphere throughout

HT. Benfleet 1 Sawbridgeworth 1. Nice set up at the Woodside Stadium. Surprisingly leafy. Benfleet with the slope & light winds behind them 2nd half. Going for a comfortable 3-1 home victory.

Just got back..
To save you all looking, it's still p-p to us. As it was when it started. At least Gas didn't lose, so it's next best thing to a 0-0 if you can't win.
Amazing songs.... heard everything from Start Me Up to Hey Matthew What Do You See? Hmmmmm... premonitions?
Anyhoos onto something less important: I saw jervani brown come on in last 5 minutes, not touch the ball and help pull back a point for Notts Lady Gardens....then some strange fella wanted the rugby on, so the channel was changed before his m o m interview!? Pesky rugby fans, eh?
All's well ends well. Thanks to the reprobate company and nice to see your November 17th opponents sat in their usual place supping the light of life from where they come from! I guess not much changes. That tis the life ...
We move on to another delightful time together soon. I'm off for some more... On tour! UptheGas...

Finished up bottom of the table Sawbridgeworth beating Benfleet 3-2. 5 goals, and a sending off. Full match report to follow on "Where are you going" Thread.

As I passed Bristol Manor Farm's ground on the train from Severn Beach I wondered if they were playing today. Turns out I missed a 5-5 draw with Helston Athletic.
