Just finished series 2
It’s nonsense, but very good. A good blend of truth and storytelling. And brilliant blending of US and UK humour
I can imagine some of the stuff being more true at Rovers than at a Premiership club
Roy Kent apparently based on Roy Keane
No one reminds me of any Rovers characters tho. You?

My wife has signed up for 3 months free, which should enable us to watch all of Ted Lasso and Slow Horses I keep thinking that the name must be an anagram, but I can't work out what it is, if it is Jason Sudeikis wrote it and stars in it I think. He's absolutely excellent. Nick Mohammed also gets a lot of plaudits, but I'm not seeing it so much. Hannah Waddingham - her of the language fluency presenting Eurovision, general poise and stylish embonpoint - is also brilliant. Anthony Head does a very good cameo as her ex-husband and general bag-of-s**t club owner Ellie Taylor, the comedienne, is also good in it, and there are cameos from a wide range of real football people It won lots of awards. Recommended! |
