Some of you may not be aware of Walkers & Talkers events at Glos Ccc every Wednesday morning
Our guest speaker on 9th October is Bristol Rovers and Stoke City legend, Paul Randall.
Paul was always popular with supporters of every team he played for - from the fans on Bristol Rovers Tote End, to the record breaking goal scoring days at Bath City and Yeovil Town.
In a real ‘Roy of the Rovers’ tale he was plucked from working in his local supermarket and playing non-league football to become one of the hottest players in the game at the time.
The former striker who scored over 100 league goals for Bristol Rovers is now advocating the physical and mental health benefits of walking football. Paul said “it’s great to be involved once again, 66 years old and enjoying every moment, how many of us would have thought back in the day, we would be playing football once again, albeit walking football”.
Our walk around the Seat Unique Stadium with fellow members and a complimentary cuppa is at 10am. Followed by this brilliant talk with Paul at 11am.
