Hello everyone and welcome back to the first month, potentially the most difficult to predict, of the forums various games where winners are heroes, and losers are zeros! Everyone welcome to play... It's good to be back. Hoping we are all here after a summer of discontent. But does this season show Promise? Especially as we're not as Beefy now? Only time will tell, but for now the ultimate question is: How many points accrued for August? 2 home, 2 away, (4)...? A virtual Kaiser Chief for the winner(s).. A virtual riot for the rest... Saturday 10th August League One. 17.30 Bristol Rovers v Northampton Town. Saturday 17th August League One. 15.00 Rotherham United v Bristol Rovers. Saturday 24th August League One. 12.30 Stockport County v Bristol Rovers. Saturday 31st August League One. 15.00 Bristol Rovers v Cambridge United. I'm going with an optimistic 8 pts. We will beat Northampton and Cambridge, and draw at Rotherham and Stockport. If we can get that,then we very much could have the base of a decent season. I hope that we can take advantage of being home for the first time in God knows how many years. I was impressed against Cardiff even though we lost. But we definitely need that extra punch up front, as even though I love the guy, I think there is a chance that time might catch up with Martin this season. That said, if he can stay fit then he is one of the best finishers that I have ever seen at this club. Another 10-15 goals this season from him would be a welcomed bonus and could take us from being a mid table team,to playoff contenders.. in what now must be the most difficult league in English football. |

Obviously I am glad to have been wrong but without the late goal in the first game giving Rovers an extra 2 points its as I expected, I thought draw,loss,draw,draw..hoping for a win against Cambridge to completely wreck my prediction,7 points wouldnt be bad for the first 4 games.
