Out of interest, what is the Reform Party proposal to correct this? Out of interest, can anyone quote it? Oldie, I'm pretty sure you are aware that Reform do not have the answer to every question you raise. Or, I could ask you, what are the Labour and Tory proposals to correct this? Can you quote them? That will be nothing then

I see Reform did well last night in the farce that was the Rochdale bye election.
Reform came last with 6.3% of the vote. What happened to "ordinary working people" fed up with the status quo? Well it appears they went to the Independent candidate who secured 21.3% of the vote, having campaigned on local issues. Good on him. Sadly we now have the idiotic chancer George Galloway back in Parliament, hopefully for only a few months. What a farce. The terrible situation in Gaza allegedly being the driving force in support for him. If, as I suspect, the Muslim community up there voted for him in droves, I am tempted to think that if you are silly enough to pray to a fictitious character like a "God" you will believe anything.
But for Mr Tice and his band of equally ludicrous party members to come last and behind in the votes to a candidate who was not even standing is laughable. Of course Mr Tice couldn't accept that (loonies never do) he comes out with this absolute gem.
"Recriminations continued after polls closed, with Mr Tice alleging to the PA news agency that “menacing behaviour” had featured throughout the campaign and questioning the validity of the postal ballots returned during the contest."
A cut and paste from the Trump playbook he manages to make himself look even more silly.
What a farce. Where is Guy Fawkes when we need him.

Unfortunately due to Health and safety issues Mr Fawkes was unable to stand here as he could not get certification clearance for his post election fireworks display 😊

Both the Tories and Labour also came nowhere and this was a seat Reform knew they had no chance. The very high level of postal votes (percentage wise) must raise a few questions, especially with regard with how things went in Tower Hamlets a few years ago. Certain 'communities' have history with this. Surely the main concern is the issue with Muslims banding together to vote in a Muslim supporter? This has already started in Germany.

Certification Clearance? What's is of which you speak? Do you mean "Certified Clearance" or perhaps obtain a "Clearance Certificate"?

Talk Radio sacked George Galloway for his anti-semitic comments. Rochdale have elected this extremist. Incredibly worrying that this extremist (propped up by the far left wing and Muslim vote) will sit in Parliament. But the big news is that a new party contesting a seat that's about 635/650 on their list of targets under performed their national polling. "Don't look over there - look over here" the frothy mouthed shout. As out democracy crumbles.

Ok, now you are starting to worry me Nobby. This reads like you actually believe this bo""ox. Labour came nowhere because they did not field a candidate. But they still got more votes than Reform (I accept that this does not cast a good light on the constituents up there, any similarities to sheep are purely coincidental) So Reform didn't just lose, they were humiliated. Even the Lib Dems beat them😂. So faced with that awful scenario Tice bottom trawls and comes up with dodgy postal votes. I mean, really. But then I am shocked because you develop this thought along ethnic lines. "Certain 'communities' have history with this." One case and you slur a whole ethnic group. Wow Nobby I am shocked. I can now see why you find Reform so attractive.

It elected an idiot, and it consigned a bunch of idiots to last place. The irony is delicious. So Oldie, which is these are 'right-wing tropes' and which are 'dog whistling'?
Cut foreign aid by 50% save 6 billion. Lift income tax start point to 20,000. Scrap VAT on energy bills and lower fuel duty by 20p Abolish Inheritance Tax for homes worth less than 2m. Reduce Corporation Tax from 25% to 20%. Write off student fees for Doctors and Nurses who have given 10 years service to the NHS. Scrap Net Zero policy, save 20 billion per year. Hire 40,000 new front-line Police Officers. Ban Transgender Ideology in schools. Scrap interest on student loans. Reform the House of Lords and Civil Service.

Ban Transgender Ideology in schools. Scrap interest on student loans. Reform the House of Lords and Civil Service. Trope. Classic right wing isolationism. Appeals to the nationalists. Long supported this. Its the best way to lift lower income earners away from the tyranny of overly managed in work benefits. Sadly after 14 years of Tory misrule I am not sure we can afford it. Yes on energy bills. Its an absolute farce. No on fuel duty unless we include that in a review of road tax and have a coherent policy on the cost of using our roads. Currently those on the lowest incomes pay the highest rate of marginal tax on this line item. Dog whistle. Most people on average incomes will not fall into this. Children inheriting their parents home have a threshold of £500k. I believe the value of the property can be split between the parents and if one dies then they can transfer their threshold, I believe that makes a combined threshold of £1M. ( I think I am right). This is a dog whistle to the Shires. Not read that many leaders who place this above consistency and effective governance. Which we dont have. Silly. Most doctors and nurses want the governance of our Health Service to be sorted. Currently we have a service that has descended into chaos, they do not want a "dog collar" We have a climate crisis. How does this help that? Its a dog whistle. Really...paid for how and where will they be recruiting from? Pure dog whistle Dog whistle. Could you point me to one curriculum, approved and on the QCF (qualification credit framework) that has a line item called "Transgender Ideology" Jesus Christ Dog Whistle. It would be useful to let voters know who screwed this up? When the financing of Higher Education became predicated upon loans to the student a Student Loan Company was set up and the rate was fixed at 2%. Who sold that company to to private investors? Oh yeah, your mates on the right of the Tory Party. Whats the interest rate now? 6%...No, I just checked 7.3%. Wow. Well done the right, and now they have the audacity to ask us to vote for them as they constitute themselves as the Reform Party. No thanks, thats akin to piling incompetence upon incompetence. Easy words, meaningless. A dog whistle to nobody. Why not say it, abolish the House of Lords. Abolish the monarchy, strangle the gravy train that leads from Oxbridge to the Civil Service. Will Reform consider this? No of course not, to many supporters from those ranks. In summary Nobby, its bullsh*t and does not add up to to a row of beans.

Yep, sucking up the disaffected and fringe loonies. There is a lot of it about. I do so hope that Lee Anderson joins Reform along with the knucklehead Suella Braverman. We can then shine a light on them

Oh yeah, stop foreign aid. Fabulous... Incorrect. It's to reduce foreign aid by 50%. Why are we giving money to countries like China and India? Nobody is talking about stopping foreign aid, so why spread this lie? Also, the foreign aid budget would have nothing to do with the Gaza situation, so once again, why try to spread the lie?

"One of the worst areas of wasteful government spending is ineffective foreign aid. Our civil servants struggle to give away the billions of pounds each year, so they end up giving money to the EU and other global bodies to help spend it. We would reduce the foreign aid budget by 50%, down to a still generous 0.35% of GDP"
Which made me laugh. Given that the Tories had already cut the budget to 0.5%, so the 0.35% is mathematically incorrect. 😂😂 Laugh, I nearly bought a round.
In this link, you will see the breakdown by country for 2022. Not sure if Afghanistan still stands given the regime change, but either way is indicative. Strangely no mention of China or India in the graphic. Funny that
