"The silence is deafening." Plus ca change. We occasionally had waffle from Wael, but nothing of any substance. The difference would appear to be that Wael and 'the gang' had the Evilpost on a short leash and they rarely, if ever, held them to account. 6 months into the Alsaeed ownership and it's all guns blazing. One wonders if Wael still has a hotline to the Evilpost.

I don't think its any secret that the minority shareholder has had self important gobsmacked aids working on his behalf and posting his agenda on both boards along with inside information to the BP for sometime. Just hope if he forces the Kuwaitis out then someone has the resources to keep the club going as clearly his well has run dry.

No doubt about it epping, after years of being told not to tolerate any criticism of the owners the Post has now been instructed to change tack. And there's no attempt to disguise the multi-front onslaught, no subtlety at all, you might even say it's "pornhub crude". When you set out on a campaign you should have a specific objective, a plan of how you're going to achieve it and a fall back position if things go wrong. If the objective now is " we want to take back control but we still need your money" then I hope they have a very good fall back position.

Well that's a conspiracy theory too far for me to be apart of but I wish you the best with your fantasy.... If only you could prove it too. You could start a website called inforumwars.com Blimey. What a time to be alive.

Appears to be a pattern with a common denominator

Although I take ITB comments with a tablespoon or two of salt, it seems likely that there is a rift between the co-owners. It would appear logical to conclude Wael (or one of his confidants) is using his media contacts to attack the new owners. I guess the 'co-ownershiop' model was always doomed. If you're the minority shareholder your influence is minimal, or potentially ignored. So either Wael still has a voice - and is culpable for the mistakes over the last 6 months, or Wael has been totally side-lined and is launching grenades in a hissy fit. Oops - who decided to sell the majority holding to the Al Saeeds? Ah, that would be Wael Al-Qadi then. Feels like the end game.

Doesnt he stand to lose more financially than gain? If I was in his shoes I'd be looking at the ramifications financially and legally if caught doing it, it seems hardly worth it, even if he is throwing a hissy fit.

Depends what sort of person you are I guess. Some people are very cold and calculating. They plan their moves very carefully and take on board advice before making key decisions. They are then equipped to deal with the consequences of their actions. Other people are of a more sensitive nature. They tend to be impetuous and just dive in, without any thought of how to deal with the potential fall out.
