"And to show balance, I am disgusted with the Israeli land grabs in the West Bank." But Epping It is exactly that kind of behaviour which drives Palestinians into the arms of extremists. We keep saying it, resolve the behaviour of Zionist extremists and the solution follows. Sadly that's not going to happen because these extremists are now in a coalition government in Israel. Israel is in the same grip of extremism as the Palestinians are. You seriously can't equate Netanyahu with the leaders of Hamas oldie. The latter murdered innocent men, women, children and babies. The former want to wipe out the perpetrators of this evil. In the process, innocent Palestinians will die. War is brutal. I truly hope when the dust settles and Hamas are wiped out, that Israel finds a way to live alongside a new independent Palestine. I agree that there is not much chance of that with Netanyahu. On a positive note, that right wing coalition won't survive long.

And I do compare the nature of the ruling fascists in GAZA with the nature of the current Israeli government and all their governments since they decided that booting Palestinians from their land was "ok" Both religion based societies are equally insane. Laugh at both of them, in real time, then maybe we can move on.

Did anyone see the pictures of an Israeli settler shooting an unarmed man in the West Bank while an Israeli soldier stood by and watched, and the disabled boy shot dead by the Israeli army? If these acts aren't extremism than what is? A secular and moderate administration on both sides is needed to work towards a solution. Unfortunately I can't see this happening any time soon, the actions of Israel killing so many civilians surely is only likely to radicalise more Palestinians and convince them to join Hamas.

This is not healthy. On this we can agree. I do not equate The Israeli Government with Hamas, you do. I guess it becomes a moot point in a month or so. Because Hamas will cease to exist.

They won't be joining HAMAS. HAMAS will be destroyed. Those that wish to, there will be 10s of 1000s, will finally realise that being in a weak guerilla organisation lobbing low level missiles just leads to defeat and death. They more likely to want to be better organised, trained and funded. Other Arab states will want to wash their hands of this disaster eventually what with all their money being laundered in the West. So welcome Hesbollah, supported by the Iranians. Now with a large faction not just ideologically in opposition to Israel, but now full of hatred and blood lust, revenge. So many having witnessed their homes destroyed, parents killed, siblings killed, their children killed.

Good and bad points on both sides here. Please remember Israelis are not all Jews: Israeli Arabs are a significant minority. Conversely, please remember Palestinians (while as far as I know all Arabs) are not all Muslims: Palestinian Christians are a significant minority. Netanyahu and Hamas are not so dissimilar in their callous disregard for the deaths of civilian Jews and Arabs alike, including women and children. They differ in other ways. Hamas Jihadis enjoy raping and mutilating.

Have you seen the pictures of people climbing on war memorials last night, with the Police just standing and watching? Apparently, the Police claim that it is not breaking the law to clamber over and potentially damage the memorials........and people complain when Joe Public decides enough is enough, and if the Police will not protect our sacred memorials we'll have to do it ourselves. No doubt the Police will label anyone doing this as "extreme right-wingers" and then the riot gear will come out. I cannot believe in this day and age we are openly allowing people to be racist on the streets of the UK and nothing is done about it.

Shock horror but I have a lot of sympathy for the view that racism should be stamped on. All the loonies "protecting" the Cenotaph last weekend should have been arrested on that charge. Similarly idiots on the Palestine protest march who undermine the core message by expressing racist and arguably violent views should be arrested. However, sadly, we had a Home Secretary who muddied the waters and placed the Police in a difficult position with her choice of language.

Yes I saw that, hopefully new laws will be made (and enforced) protecting war memorials from these t0ssers. These pro Palestine marchers are so open and arrogant with their racism its amazing,a lot of ordinary people having their eyes opened by these events.

Imagine the uproar if a memorial service was targeted in the UK or USA which killed over 100 people. "The explosions came at a memorial ceremony in Iran marking the fourth anniversary of the killing of Qassem Suleimani, the head of Iran’s al-Quds force, and it was not clear whether either of Suleimani’s principal regional adversaries – Israel or Islamic State – were responsible for the carnage. Iran’s new minister of interior, the hardliner Ahmad Vahidi, did not immediately attribute blame for the attack and no side claimed responsibility for the deadliest single terrorist incident since the Iranian Revolution in 1979. The US state department said it had no reason to believe Israel was involved." The likeliest answer is that it was home-grown opposition to the Iranian regime. There is no valid reason whatsoever to try to lay the blame on Israel or the US.
