JCH has today signed for Rotherham Ah.An FC with a new stadium and clearly ambitions of regaining their 2nd tier status as soon as possible. Sounds as if class midfielder Rossitter is off and the possible opportunity to sign a minimum 15 goals striker gone. Are you going to say that about every striker we don't sign. Mbappè is available on a free. He should grab plenty of goals. Should we cry out because we don't sign him? Given recent history you would expect JCH would be on a very good wage after this move. For us could equate to 3 players. Haa to be a balance. What's the point in his "guaranteed " goals if we cannot defend.

I'm just pointing out RUFC have proven ambition against Rovers rumours of ambition.

Or Rotherham have more cash to splash. Do they get a parachute payment after relegation?

Unfashionable yo-yo club.... interesting that AGAIN no [seemingly] other interest from other clubs looking to get out of this division after him... does this tell you anything....or is he just making sure he gets a pay packet for another year [or two] ?

Was chatting to a Millers fan in the Wellie ahead of Gas vs Rotherham (Sept 19th 2019). I paraphrase "He never did much for us. Bit lazy. Would be surprised if he kicks on from here". Bristol Rovers 1 Rotherham 0 (Clarke-Harris 48th min). JCH scored 24 in 42 games for the Gas. A fantastic strike rate. Thanks for the memories. Nothing to see here any more. Move on.

Agreed, that is a cracking return on his time with us. But he's not our guy. He appears to have been greedy late on last window, or he could have been our player then, but it didn't happen, and I'm glad we must move on now, as I saw no reason to think his record here would be replicated, any more than a younger upstart starting to score elsewhere might kick on once here. How keen Peterborough were to release him gave me doubts.

I have no information, and I may be miles off, but that was how the transfer touting came across to me, yes.
But we move on. Has anyone got their eye on any up-and-coming centre forwards? I'd love to have two seasons of goals from someone we get to sell on for significant money. That was the Rovers that first attracted me to the club.

The injury prone striker, returns to the Rotherham attack today, scores against his previous club and then goes off...... injured!!!
