Harvey Vale has played in 42 career games so far for Chelsea, Hull, Chelsea U21 & England at U15, 16, 17, 19 & 20 levels... On 17th June 2022, Vale was included in the England U19 squad for the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. On 1st July 2022 Vale captained the England U19 side and provided an assist for Carney Chukwuemeka to score in a 3–1 victory against Israel in the final. His performances during the competition led to his inclusion in the UEFA team of the tournament. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/646A/production/_126560752_gettyimages-1242732287.jpgWhat Bristol Rovers fans can expect from 'exciting' Harvey Vale with loan move close..Bristol Rovers are close to securing their 9th signing of the summer with Chelsea midfielder Harvey Vale expected to join on loan for the season, Bristol Live understands. The 19-year-old was subject to interest from the Gas back in January but a deal couldn't be completed due to the three-club rule, having been on loan at Hull City, but now looks set for a move to the Mem at long last. An attacking midfielder, Vale is currently one of the Blue's most exciting prospects at Cobham and has played for the first-team on five occasions. Additionally, the youngster was involved in England's U19 European Championship victory last summer alongside Rovers goalkeeper Matt Cox, who joined on loan from Brentford last month. However, with little else known about the Englishman, we asked one of fooball.london's Chelsea writer Bobby Vincent for more insight on the youngster. Vale is listed on Transfermarkt as an attacking midfielder/forward - where's his best position?"I'd probably say through the middle as a central attacking midfielder. He has also impressed on the left-hand side as well. Honestly, his natural ability means he can play anywhere across the front-line." Vale spent just half a season on loan at Hull last year, what happened?"Vale did not get the minutes he and Chelsea were after at Hull. Chelsea then made the decision to recall him in January because they believed he would be better playing for their Development Squad." How highly regarded is Vale within Chelsea? Does he have potential to play in the first team regularly?"Those at the academy rate Vale very highly. Neil Bath has played a big part in his development and I know he rates him very highly. However, it's so difficult to break into the first-team at Chelsea, particularly when you look at the kind of money being spent in each window." Did Chelsea fans expect Vale to go on loan to a League One level side?"I'd say it might surprise a few but given what happened at Hull last season, League One may be the best fit for him." How excited should Rovers fans be and what can they expect from him?"Rovers fans should be very excited. At League One level, I really believe we could see Harvey at his best; a very direct and exciting footballer who always looks to create and score goals."

All these attacking midfielders.
If he comes, them I expect someone to go, probably McCormack.
Would love to get Bogarde back and a striker striker.

So many assume it's a signing. Does not mean he was sorting the deal.

Announced as a done deal on Barton's "hear it here first" subscription based Twatter account.
EDIT: For clarity I got that 2nd hand. No way on God's good earth would I pay for that drivel.

Why does a club President need to sort out loan arrangements surely that's a job for Eddie Jennings or Tom Gorringe? Wael was a season ticket holder and debenture holder at Stamford Bridge I presume he went up Sunday to watch the Liverpool match. He is perfectly entitled to do that. Probably took the new owner along to see Premier league football. We have God relations with Chelsea Jake Clarke Salter came on loan and Goalkeeper Jamal Blackman.

Former Bristol Rovers loanee subject to interest from Saudi club managed by Liverpool legend..By Daniel Hargraves
Harvey Vale made 47 appearances for Bristol Rovers last season, on loan from Chelseai2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9512660.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_JS323003515.jpgFormer Bristol Rovers loanee Harvey Vale is subject to interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq over a permanent move from Chelsea with the 20-year-old seemingly set for an exit from his boyhood club before the transfer window closes on Friday. As first reported by the Daily Mail, Al-Ettifaq have opened talks with the Blues with agreement over a fee close but it would still be up to the player himself if he wanted to complete the transfer. Al-Ettifaq are managed by Liverpool and England legend Steven Gerrard who has reportedly identified Vale as a key target with the Saudi transfer window not closing until October 6 whereas in England it is set to shut at 11pm this Friday. The 20-year-old was left out of Chelsea's travelling squad for a pre-season tour in the United States last month in order to focus on pursuing a new loan option which still hasn't materialised. Vale was one of Rovers' start performers last season, making 47 appearances across all competitons, the second-most of any player behind Player of the Season Antony Evans, now of Huddersfield Town. Although an attacking midfielder by trade, the youngster played most of his minutes at left-back and was well-liked by all three managers that he played under last term. The Chelsea youth product had previously had a loan stint in the Championship with Hull City the season prior but was limited to just three appearances for the Tigers with his spell with the Gas a significantly positive step in his development. It is understood that Vale currently has one more year left on his current contract with the West London outfit but it does have the option of a one-year extension.

Seems a shame to me.Harvey will no doubt be paid well and I admit to not knowing the standard in Saudi, but I think eg a Norwich City or Oxford United in our 2nd tier would of suited him.Failing that one of the better 3rd tier clubs. Decent player.

Insane the wages some of ex loan players were/now are on from the Barton days.

From what I can gather, he showed promise but at the moment isn't anywhere near championship, let alone PL, level. I remember Matt Lockwood having a considerably larger impact, and he was a free transfer from QPR. What I find interesting is that if you look at a lot of these young players at top clubs is how few games they have actually played by the time they are in their mid-20s. Lingard played 149 games for United over a ten-year period, which works out at around 15 games a season. In his loan spells, he never played more than 20 games for a single team. Loftus-Cheek played 109 games for Chelsea in a 9-year period. An average of 12 games a season. Hudson Odoi played 72 games for Chelsea in a five-year period. An average of 14 games a season. Ross Barkley played 58 games for Chelsea in a four-year period. An average of 15 games a season. Presumably these stats also include substitute appearances, along with those in meaningless domestic and international cup games? It's now quite common in the PL and other top European leagues for players to reach their late 20s and to have fewer than 200 appearances for their club. If Vale has any ambition, he will be looking to leave ASAP.

I thought Vale did ok,but nothing more.Given that really his ability right now is of L1 level.I think he should jump at the chance of making £50k plus a week in a level probably of a lower standard then he played here last season. Saying that,he probably is not far off being a millionaire already given what his Chelsea wages must be currently.
