Liverpool 5-2 Norwich: What Jurgen Klopp said:
ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/666/cpsprodpb/9616/live/3579ff60-bdfc-11ee-9289-23c97454b702.jpg
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It was good, it was really good. We probably could've created more in the first half but it was really nice by Norwich as well. We didn't play quick enough or with enough purpose. "We scored two good goals created by our young boys. We conceded then, that can happen. Both teams can take a lot from the game. We are in the next round and Norwich played good." On the youngsters that were playing: "They are really good. We wouldn't be where we are if these boys hadn't made the next step. "James McConnell was put in the six because we had injuries in pre-season. Conor Bradley has everything at right-back, you can talk to him about tactics and he gets it. Jarell Quansah is an adult centre-half and nothing else. "Our big guns are back now and we play again in three days. [We've got] Chelsea and Arsenal, it doesn't get much bigger." On the atmosphere in the ground: "I get it, it's very emotional. I just have to make sure that I don't get on that side of it. I said they don't have to do it because I know our relationship already. "In these games, we need to be warriors and not celebrate the old man on the sidelines. "[It's the] first match after the news and we can get used to it. Chelsea are in a good moment, it will be tough, but let's make sure we are ready for that." Liverpool 5-2 Norwich: What Virgil Van Dijk said:
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/4AB9/production/_130692191_gettyimages-1587414249.jpgLiverpool captain Virgil van Dijk speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the game: "The big task is to get through to the next round. It was a pleasing day because of the players coming back from injury and the young players getting another game. We're ready to go again for Chelsea." On the atmosphere at Anfield: "It was the first time since the announcement that the manager [Jurgen Klopp] was back in the stadium seeing all of the fans. It was always going to be a bit different. Within the squad, nothing has changed. It was very emotional on the day. "As a squad, we have a lot of targets to achieve. Let's give it everything we have. The manager is here until the summer. We have to deal with the noise. It's my job, as captain, to make sure it doesn't reach our players." On having more motivation now: "I can only speak for myself in this case. We have been through so much together and I'm grateful for everything that he has done for me, my family and my career. Why not end it on a high and make more memories? Let's see. "We still have more goals. We don't just want to win for the boss. We want to win for ourselves, the club, and because we are winners. We need a bouncing Anfield on Wednesday and a perfect performance against a good Chelsea [team]." On the youngsters that are coming through: "I'm very impressed with the youngsters. I see them daily in training. They have to keep working and stay humble. "They are at a fantastic club and the culture here is outstanding for young players. You have to use the opportunity as well because you don't get many as a professional footballer."

Manchester United: Arrest over bus damage before Liverpool game..ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/C587/production/_132076505_united3.jpgA 23-year-old man has been arrested after the Manchester United team bus was damaged when a bottle was thrown at it before a Liverpool game. Merseyside Police said the bus was hit as it made its way along Anfield Road near the Tia Hotel on 17th December. The bottle caused a hairline crack to the side window but nobody was injured, the force said. The arrested man, from Everton, has been released under investigation. The Premier League game ended 0-0. Liverpool condemned the attack on the bus but there have been previous attacks on team buses. In 2018, Manchester City's bus was attacked before their Champions League quarter-final with Jurgen Klopp's side at Anfield. The Reds apologised and called the behaviour "completely unacceptable". Then in April 2023, Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation after Liverpool's coach was attacked on its journey back from the Etihad Stadium following a league match.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/250c/live/ca5130e0-b60e-11ee-8f07-bbfdfa890097.jpgWe asked for your thoughts on Sunday's goal-fest between Liverpool and Norwich in the FA Cup fourth round.
Here are some of your views:
Jason: A very good performance from everyone. Pick of the players for me were Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah and James McConnell who, for me, should've been given man of the match. Klopp has been a revelation since joining Liverpool and let's hope the players dig in just that little bit more to win the Premier League and all of the cups we're in. Let Klopp go out in style. Tracy: Tactical precision play by the Reds which sees us into the fifth round of the FA Cup. Great respect and love to Klopp as our manager who has installed a lasting belief and confidence into Liverpool Football Club and at academy levels. What a legacy to leave us with. What a legend. Keep going Reds. Marilyn: Fantastic match! Great to see the youngsters who look like they are enjoying every second. There were tears in my eyes for our great manager. Just win everything for him boys! Asa: I'm really impressed with the young kids coming through. Conor Bradley deserved man of the match, but I thought James McConnell was outstanding on his first start. It was great to see [Andy] Robbo and Trent [Alexander-Arnold] back as well. Good times. Willow: Great win for the lads. Conor Bradley is going from strength to strength. Good to see [Andy] Robbo and Trent [Alexander-Arnold] back.

Calvin Ramsay: Bolton Wanderers sign Liverpool right-back on loan for rest of season..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/7B29/production/_132492513_gettyimages-1817197703.jpg Calvin Ramsay's most recent first-team appearance came in Preston North End's 2-0 defeat by QPR on 1st DecemberBolton Wanderers have signed right-back Calvin Ramsay on loan from Premier League side Liverpool until the end of the season The 20-year-old joins Bolton having spent time on loan at Championship side Preston North End earlier this season. Ramsay made just two appearances for the Lilywhites this term having struggled with a knee injury. "Things didn't work for him at Preston for a few reasons which we understand," boss Ian Evatt said. Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester he continued: "That can happen. We felt the need to bring some competition in to that area and to give us some extra options. We're really lucky to have him. "He's a talented young player. He came to Liverpool with a huge reputation and a huge transfer fee for someone his age. "Our relationship with Liverpool is fantastic and we thank them for trusting us with him."

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/5995/live/41e62040-be91-11ee-896d-39d9bd3cadbb.jpgFormer Liverpool Goalkeeper David James has been speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast about Jurgen Klopp's departure from Liverpool at the end of the season: "The way Klopp dealt with the media in the press conference after the video announcement just underlines what an amazing character he is. "I think the succession plan will already be in place. I think the club will know who they are going for, they have probably known 18 months ago. "How are they going to get a manager that can deal with the media as well as Klopp? "I think Edin Terzic at Borussia Dortmund should be the next manager. He’s the type of guy that can speak properly and handle the media. Whether he’s good enough in Liverpool’s eyes is another question. "I think the media bit is the most important because nobody has got anything on Klopp from what he says after a game, how he’s reacted, how he’s dealt with things and, when he’s had to deal with problems, he's always dealt with it in a manner that is surprising in a positive way."

Liverpool: 'End of era' if Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah follow Jurgen Klopp out of club..Liverpool could be facing the "end of an era" this summer if stars Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah follow manager Jurgen Klopp out of the club. Klopp will step down at the end of the season after nine years in charge. Captain Van Dijk says he does not know if he will be part of the new era, while forward Salah has been linked with a move away. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/01/29/11/80582951-13018671-image-m-25_1706527377837.jpg"It may feel for some that they may want to move on," ex-Blackburn striker Chris Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live. Klopp's announcement came with the club in the running for four trophies. They top the Premier League, face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final and are still in the FA Cup and Europa League. "They have such a close-knit group, Klopp has been there years. The players he signed will feel they owe him one. They'll want to be galvanised and win everything," continued Sutton on Monday Night Club. "But then because they've been part of the journey under Klopp it may feel for some like Van Dijk that they may want to move on. Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Salah look like they might move on. It is possibly the end of an era, not just for Klopp but for some of the players. "A lot of players Klopp brought in will feel that bond with him and may think 'we can't argue it's the right time to leave when Jurgen Klopp does, a natural time'." Klopp has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup with Liverpool - with Salah, 31, and Van Dijk, 32, part of that success. Egypt's Salah has scored 204 goals in 332 games for Liverpool, while the Netherlands centre-back Van Dijk replaced Jordan Henderson as captain last summer. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/01/04/23/79622923-12927057-He_s_always_been_a_terrific_goalscorer_at_Liverpool_s_height_but-a-41_1704411741611.jpgThe experienced duo and homegrown right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract at the end of next season. "If they lose Salah and Van Dijk, they would be two huge players to walk away from Liverpool," said Sutton. "They're more likely to move on at the end of the season as a natural end to the Klopp era and it's a totally different job then to lose two massive juggernauts to the team." "It's a hospital pass going in after Jurgen Klopp," said Sutton. The odds-on favourite to be the next Liverpool manager is Xabi Alonso, whose Bayer Leverkusen side are top of the Bundesliga in his second season in charge. The 42-year-old Spaniard played for Liverpool from 2004 to 2009. "The problem is Alonso is a rookie," said Sutton. "I wonder if they will think he hasn't managed long enough. Klopp was so charming and larger than life. "It's not just about coaching, you have to handle the atmosphere, the whole club. "When Liverpool got Klopp in he'd had seven years and done incredible things at Dortmund. He'd had highs and lows and experienced everything. That's the one thing that would go against a rookie like Alonso. "At the moment everything is going swimmingly well but Bayer Leverkusen aren't expected to win the Bundesliga. To go in at Liverpool and follow a giant, if things don't start well how would he handle adversity?" Leicester City defender Conor Coady, who started his career with the Reds, says they have to decide what style of play they want now. "Klopp brought his philosophy of heavy metal football, gegenpressing, he changed Liverpool's way of being," said Coady. "It's interesting to see how they move forward. Do they bring in a manager like that? Do they keep that style of play? It's whether they want to go rebuilding or go down the same route again." Liverpool assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz and elite development coach Vitor Matos will leave in the summer, with sporting director Jorg Schmadtke to depart at the end of January. "It showed with the amount of people leaving that want something different," said Coady. "His backroom team, sporting director, it's such a big rebuilding job. "You're never going to get another Jurgen Klopp. He's taken it to such a level, the top of the mountain. Do they go down the same path? It doesn't look like it because of how many people have left. But a rebuild takes time."

Nat Phillips: Cardiff City to sign Liverpool defender on loan..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/F293/production/_132499026_gettyimages-1744747795.jpg Nat Phillips (left) played two games in the Champions League for Celtic while on loan from Liverpool this seasonLiverpool defender Nat Phillips is joining Cardiff City on loan for the rest of the season. Phillips, 26, will be the first recruit for Cardiff manager Erol Bulut in the January transfer window. Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United were also reportedly keen on the English centre-back. Phillips has been a member of Jurgen Klopp's squad since 2018, making 19 league appearances and scoring one goal for the Reds. During his time at Anfield he has twice been on loan at German club VfB Stuttgart and last season was part of Bournemouth's promotion winning Championship side. This season Phillips has been on loan at Scottish champions Celtic, featuring in eight games, including against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. He also had Champions League experience at Liverpool, fracturing his cheekbone during a game with AC Milan. Greek international Dimitri Goutas and former Arsenal defender Mark McGuinness have been the first choice centre-back pairing for Cardiff this season. But Nottingham Forest loanee Jonathan Panzo returned to his parent club early in the January window, so a central defender became a priority for the Bluebirds. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/30/3439eaf5-f30c-472f-b360-96b829115a47.jpg

'No one has to worry' about Liverpool's future - Liverpool v Chelsea (Wed 31.01.24 - 8.15pm)ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/12/20/45a387eb-3893-4be9-8c5d-2dc97a6b1f0d.jpg Now Jurgen Klopp himself is speaking to the media, and he begins by talking about defender Virgil van Dijk saying he's unsure about Liverpool's future once Klopp leaves in the summer. "It's completely normal," said Klopp. "It's clear the outside world will not give you a second to process it. "A week ago no-one knew about my situation. There was still 18 months on their contracts and no-one asked, so give us a break. No-one has to worry. "Write what you want, the club is stable. Everything will be fine, I'm 100% sure. I would recommend to stay calm. Very often the fans' concerns are not as big as you might think. You underestimate the intelligence of our supporters." Giving an update on team news, Jurgen Klopp said: "Macca (Alexis Mac Alister) trained yesterday so should be fine. "Thiago trained, which was an incredible moment after all these months and to train at the level he does. But he needs time." Jurgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah, who picked up a muscle injury playing for Egypt at the African Cup of Nations: "There was no pressure on him other than wanting to get fit as quickly as possible anyway. But we don't rush. "If you could rush the healing process then Thiago wouldn't have been out for 10 months. "You do what you can do and, whilst that happens, we have to wait. Mo’s not ready for this game or the next. He’s injured and a muscle injury takes time. "It could have been a lot worse but he’s not available and he’s having rehabilitation." ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/768/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/30/993ebef9-dd3f-4f5d-8345-3641a3debf6a.jpgOn having to play 'youngsters' because of Liverpool's ongoing injury list, Jurgen Klopp said: "With these boys, everything so far is outstanding. "A 19-year-old boy (James McConnell, above) doesn’t need to play week in, week out. We don’t have to rush him. But it was wonderful for him and his family. "I knew it before the Norwich game that he could have came on before. For these boys it’s outstanding. They have to improve still but even if the big guns are coming back, it doesn’t have an impact on their development." On Wednesday's opponents Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp said: "They play really good stuff and are a really good team. Nobody was ever in doubt about that. "A team in form, I think. Won majority of games recently. We play them in first matchday, we weren't great but they were pretty good. A point was alright. We have to do better but we are different now. "They had a lot of injuries but now they have a core group together. They have the midfield they want together and the entire back-line other than Reece James. It's a really good team, even if you can't see it in the table yet. I expect them to make big steps, but start after our game."

Virgil van Dijk: Liverpool captain says he is 'fully committed' to club..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/4196/production/_132509761_gettyimages-1968098712.jpg Virgil van Dijk became the world's most expensive defender when he joined Liverpool from Southampton six years agoLiverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says he is "fully committed" to the club amid reports he could leave Anfield at the end of the season. The Netherlands defender, 32, said on Monday he was unsure if he will be part of the club's post-Jurgen Klopp era. Klopp announced last week he will end his time with the Reds after almost nine years at the end of the season. But Van Dijk, who joined for £75m in January 2018, said his previous comments were "taken out of context". Asked whether he saw himself being part of the next era, Van Dijk, whose current Liverpool contract is set to expire in summer 2025, said: "That's a big question. I don't know." But he has sought to clarify those comments and on Tuesday told the Men in Blazers podcast: "To be 100% clear, I am fully committed to the club. I love the club. I love the fans. It is fully taken out of context." Liverpool assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz will also leave the Merseyside club along with Klopp, while the contracts of forward Mohamed Salah and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold are also scheduled to run out in 2025. Liverpool continue to fight on four fronts as they aim to mark the end of Klopp's tenure with silverware. The Reds are top of the Premier League, through to the Carabao Cup final and into the last 16 in both the Europa League and FA Cup. "It's not about me, it's not about I. It is about us and nothing has changed," Van Dijk added. "My full focus is on making sure this year can be very special. Obviously [it was a] big announcement over the last couple of days. It has been a shock to each one of us connected to the club. "We want to achieve things that we dreamed of at the start of the season. Don't get it twisted, I'm fully committed to the club - I love each and every second that I am the captain."

Liverpool to be the focus of a new documentary series..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/31/e9365735-ff06-401f-9141-5504f51b6131.jpgLiverpool have announced, via X, external, that "filming is under way of a new multi-episodic documentary series about Liverpool Football Club, to be broadcast after the end of the 2023-24 season". They say the documentary will delve into the club's "rich history" and "provide first-hand insights into what makes the club, including its men’s and women’s teams, a success on and off the pitch." It is set to be filmed, directed and produced by Lorton Entertainment, the same company behind the Diego Maradona movie, the Steven Gerrard documentary 'Make Us Dream' and 'Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story'. Jurgen Klopp said: “With this being my final season I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special: its people, from our fans to our players and those who work so hard behind the scenes, constantly in pursuit of success for Liverpool Football Club. “Thanks to this new documentary series viewers will be able to see what I see every day at this great club, and understand those amazing people more.”

WEDNESDAY 31st JANUARY 2024 - PREMIER LEAGUE
Liverpool 4 (Jota 23, Bradley 39, Szoboszlai 65, Diaz 79) Chelsea 1 (Nkunku 71)
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1285F/production/_132517857_conorbradley.jpg
Report By Gary Rose, BBC Sport.Conor Bradley produced a memorable display by scoring his first Liverpool goal and grabbing two assists as the Reds beat Chelsea to maintain their grip on first place in Premier League. Jurgen Klopp's side went into this round of fixtures five points clear at the top and, with Arsenal and Manchester City winning their games against Nottingham Forest and Burnley respectively, the Anfield club needed to do likewise against the Blues. Having beaten Bournemouth 4-0 in their previous league outing, they once again put in a confident and dominant display to sweep Chelsea aside. Darwin Nunez twice hit the woodwork in the opening stages - and four times in total - before Diogo Jota showed great persistence to force his way through defenders to slot in from Bradley's pass. The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international, who has emerged as a very exciting talent at Liverpool this season, then got the goal his recent impressive displays have warranted as he raced into the box from the right before driving into the far corner. Liverpool should have been 3-0 up at half-time but Nunez struck the post from the penalty spot after Jota was brought down. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/C01D/production/_132518194_darwinnunez.jpgMykhailo Mudryk missed a glorious chance to halve the deficit after the break when he lashed high over the bar with just Alisson to beat. Dominik Szoboszlai punished Chelsea for that miss as he got Liverpool's third, heading home Bradley's cross, and although Christopher Nkunku drove in a consolation for the visitors, Luis Diaz added a fourth late on with a close-range strike. It was the perfect result for the Reds both in retaining their advantage at the top of the Premier League as well as boosting confidence before they face Chelsea again in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on 25th February.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/5add/live/882e6220-c04d-11ee-ace0-c35c1b4f6d82.jpgOn Wednesday, we asked you what Liverpool's ideal final day of business in the January transfer window would look like.
Here is a selection of your responses:
Alex: With Ibou Konate being injury-prone, Joel Matip out for the season and Joe Gomez required at full-back to cover for injuries/rest, I do feel we need another centre-back to add to the mix. Ant: A top central defender, for example Ronald Araujo, to partner Virgil van Dijk and take on his mantle into the future. Sonny: I would love a shock signing and it doesn't have to be for big money - Wataru Endo has shown that. Maybe an older striker to help chip in with the goals? I hear Mehdi Taremi from Porto wouldn't cost much. Ahmad: Strangely, I feel there is no pressing need for the Reds to add anyone in this window. Maybe in the summer. I think this is the very first window I'm feeling like this. I'm really confident with the current players. Ethan: I think it would be great if Liverpool signed Kylian Mbappe but I don't think that is going to happen. I think Joao Neves and Pedro Neto would be quite a good investment. Steve: IMO we don't need anyone yet, we have depth to our squad, look at it in the summer when the new incumbent takes over the reins...

Here are some of your comments:
Paddy: If Liverpool put on a performance like that till the end of the season then not many teams will be able to handle or beat them. Terrific performance. Steve: Great, confident win and a mountain of chances created. One day they will convert a bigger percentage and whoever they play that day could concede a record amount. Overall, a resounding, powerful, confident performance. Anthony: With the emergence of Conor Bradley and the energy shown by the whole team, surely the key games are Arsenal away and Manchester City at home. If they come through them, we've got it. Up the Reds. Paul: One of the most complete performances of the season. Konate was calm and controlled at the back with great distribution. The midfield was electric with real fight. The attack was mesmerising. And Conor Bradley... wow. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/fb87/live/c5379de0-c0c9-11ee-a6c4-11dfb301280c.jpg

Kylian Mbappe's meeting with Liverpool owner on private jet as transfer talk intensifies..By Josh O'Brien, Sports Writer.i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article31886820.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/0_GettyImages-1035849722.jpgKylian Mbappe's club future is once again the subject of discussion but some reports are now touting him with a move to Liverpool, rather than Real Madrid. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar is out of contract with the French giants come the end of the current campaign and has long been widely tipped to join Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have been interested in the World Cup winner for nearly three years, but a move has never materialised. However, there is talk that suggests that Los Blancos are no longer in pole position to sign Mbappe, amid interest from the Reds. The 25-year-old came close to making the move to Anfield once before, back in 2017 before his move to Paris. At the time, Mbappe was weighing up the idea of swapping Monaco for Merseyside and according to L'Equipe, even held a two-hour with Reds owner John W. Henry on his private jet to discuss the idea of a transfer. The French outlet reported that Henry tried to win over both Mbappe and his family by flying his private jet to Monaco and inviting them on board. i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article30587166.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/0_Screenshot-2023-07-30-at-134321.jpgThe rumour mill has started to turn with reports suggesting Jurgen Klopp is keen on reigniting the club's interest in Mbappe given they would not have pay a penny in transfer fees. However, PSG haven't lost hope of convincing the forward to pen an extension at the Parc des Princes. PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi discussed the situation in detail while on the Rothen s'enflamme RMC podcast. He explained: "Look, I am not trying to hide anything. "I want Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG. He's the best player in the world and the best club for him is PSG. "He is central to our project. We have done a lot of things, some have worked more than others. We have made mistakes and this is normal. Now we have a young team, with French players, and we are not in a hurry, this is for the long term. "We have put together a team that is solid on a technical level and our system of play has been changed and it is a pleasure to watch this team. We play as a team, we defend as a team, it is magnificent." Though Liverpool are delighted by the fact that Mbappe would arrive on a free, it is believed that the Reds would have to restructure their entire wage system if the Frenchman was to join. The Telegraph claim that Mbappe's representatives are demanding a salary of £64.5million a year after tax, which works out as £1.24m a week. For context, Liverpool's current top earner, Mohamed Salah, is on a salary of around £350,000 per week.

Liverpool send emotional message to Conor Bradley after his dad dies at 58..by Jacob Leeks.i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/02/01/00/80703991-13030767-Liverpool_endured_a_comfortable_4_1_win_over_Chelsea_at_Anfield_-a-98_1706749128544.jpgLiverpool have shared an emotional message of support to Conor Bradley after his father died on Saturday. Joe Bradley passed away after a long illness aged 58, just days after his son put in a man of the match performance to lead the Reds to a dominant win over Chelsea. Full-back Bradley notched two assists and scored his first Premier League goal in the 4-1 victory. The Northern Irishman was expected to feature in Sunday's top of the table clash with Arsenal. But on the eve of that game, Bradley has been hit with the tragic news regarding his father. As they prepare to travel to the Gunners knowing a win would take them eight points clear of Mikel Arteta's side, the Reds have issued a message of support towards starlet Bradley. "One Conor Bradley. Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the passing of Conor’s father, Joe, today. The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Conor and his family," the club wrote on social media alongside a picture of Bradley. They added in a statement: "Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the death of Conor Bradley's father, Joe, today. "The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Conor and all of the Bradley family at this very difficult and sad time. On behalf of Conor, LFC strongly urges that the family's privacy is fully respected at this time." The news is tragic for Bradley, who had been enjoying a dream week after his performance against Chelsea. It was a display that drew high praise from boss Jurgen Klopp, who insisted he was not surprised. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/02/01/11/80723501-13032581-image-a-41_1706786580681.jpg"I loved him from the first day, I didn't need a lot of convincing. The thing is, Conor showed up extremely good in pre-season, did extremely well at Bolton [on loan]," Klopp said after the game. "Comes back, looks top in pre-season, wow, and then is out for five months [or] four months, [with] like these kind of issues that only young people have, but thank God then time can sort it. At our age, it would not get better but in that age group, it gets better. Since he is back, it is a joy to watch him." Bradley was also over the moon to score his first goal in Liverpool colours. The 20-year-old opened up on the "dream" moment after he fired in his side's second goal of their dominant win. "It's a very proud moment obviously. It's something I've dreamed of for a long time. I just feel like I'm in a dream. It's unbelievable. I'm very happy!" Bradley told TNT Sports. "I just couldn't believe it went in. I just thought, 'I'm going to hit it here' and it went in the bottom corner. I didn't know what to do, I just went into the corner and did a knee slide. It was brilliant!"
