Tough one today although Derby's recent form suggests we could get something.
I'll take a draw but if other results go our way, a win would make us mathematically safe.
UTG!

Our defence has been excellent lately, with Beefy and Lewis Gibson looking a good pairing.
Beefy was strong with Taylor in the 4th tier and alongside Lewis hes hit form again.
I think Quansah a very good player, but maybe Beefy is a better defensive partner for Lewis. Our former Bluebird (maybe playing them next season),I think judges high balls coming at defence better than our Liverbird who does'nt always attack the ball when he could. His recovery tackle may be perfect, but that would'nt be necessary if he had won the ball with his head.
Quansah is a class player, don't get me wrong, would love him to be at with us next season, but possibly he's too much like Lewis Gibson, againstcertain opposition ,in certain circumstances.
In Gibson with Quansah we have Bobby Moore with Bobby Moore.
In Gibson and Beefy we have Bobby Moore and Charlton J.
The 66 pairing stronger defensively.
Ha!🙂I maybe inventing a 'problem' here when there is none ,but anyway,in short I think Beefy has been very good lately and has earnt selection.
Derby County today with Sheffield Wednesday Tuesday Fantastic!
Hopefully Aaron's bruised foot is now better.
We know we can give em a game, cheered on by a noisey Mem crowd.
Come on Rovers!

Never forget that in 2002 Rovers were the first 4th tier team ever to win against premier league opposition - away - Derby.

We’re as good as safe after a blinding Easter.
Just going to enjoy the game, win, lose or draw.

At last! At long, last! No, not the sun out....but, a Bristol Derby!
Anyone who can remember Ravanelli, or even Steve Cross will know we usually have good games against Forest rivals.
If Derby can bring their history with them, then so can we!
A good day to be on Glos Rd, I predict a battling win. 2-1 Gas. Some controversy. We'll see how the child of Hoole dealing with Mccoldrick last year, is comparable to the man dealing with him today - as long as he's not CB.
Looking forward to this one, we are underdogs with pretty safe place in 3rd tier football for next season, so literally have nothing to lose.
See some of you on the bounty of Gloucester Road.. Enjoy your game, UptheGas!

We have played Derby County 28 times, W9, D6 & L13, Biggest wins 5-2 & 4-1, Defeats 4-1 & 1-4 with 4 x 1-1 & 2 x 0-0.
Derby County were founded in 1884, are known as The Rams and play at Pride Park Stadium which has a capacity of 33,597.
Their most famous era was of course under Brian Clough and his very own 'Watson' Peter Taylor from 1967 to 1973. Clough's frequent outspoken comments against football's establishment eventually led to him falling out with the board of directors at the club, and Clough and Taylor left in October 1973. Such was their impact on the club that, 37 years later, a 9 ft (2.75 metres) bronze statue of the pair was erected outside Pride Park in commemoration of their legacy.
Derby's primary rival clubs are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United. Forest, based in Nottingham, 14 miles (23 km) east of Derby, are by far the fiercest rivals.
Football Hall Of Fame 2002-2017 Brian Clough, Peter Doherty, Peter Shilton, Dave Mackay, Steve Bloomer, Francis Lee, Raich Carter, Hughie Gallacher, John Robertson & Frank Lampard.
Past Legendary Managers were, Jimmy Methven, George Jobey, Stuart McMillan, Brian Clough, Arthur Cox, Jim Smith and Nigel Clough...
Honours include: 1st/Prem x 2, 2nd Div x 4, 3rd Tier x 1, FA Cup x 1, Charity Shield x 1, Texaco & Watney Cups x 1 each.
Derby are currently in 7th place and the mighty Gas are in 14th, will be tough today but we can extend our winning run to 3 at a packed Mem.
COYB - How many of you are backing the runners today in the GN at 5.15pm.

Refereed a Forest Reserve game v Blackburn(Central League.) Forest lost 1-0 and when I left after showering etc,Cloughy had the dressing room locked and was shouting at the Forest youngsters. Not remarkable other than the fact that the night previously Forest had won the European Cup courtesy of Trevor Francis!!
-------- Some fire power on the bench today!!

Derby are very well disciplined and looking the better team, especially their central defenders who are dominating.
We're not helping ourselves by failing to do the basics. Some of our passing is embarrassingly amateurish.
Disappointing so far but at 0-1 we're still in it so maybe Barton can fire them up for the second half.

Stats are interesting Derby 9 shots against our 14 But they have 4 on target to our 1 Food for thought for next season I am glad we have some big games at home with big name clubs. Hate to think how attendances would have been if we had been facing lower opposition.....
