An 18 year old has been arrested.
Ch Supt Knowles says "I know that the community will be shocked by this incident"..shocked,really ? is anyone shocked by these stabbings now ?saddened,sickened but after 30 years of this every weekend I wouldnt have thought that many are shocked.

[b r] Think your right, it is an almost regular weekend event , people become immune to these events and treat it as a sad part of life and just move on, only those closely affected are the ones that it really matters to.... |

[b r] Think your right, it is an almost regular weekend event , people become immune to these events and treat it as a sad part of life and just move on, only those closely affected are the ones that it really matters to.... Yes,its very sad that there are so many stabbings that after a while they all seem common place and we forget that each one is a tragedy for the victims family and friends. The shocking thing now would be a report on a Monday stating 'no fatal stabbings in London over the weekend'. |

Not a stabbing but some complete **** got 12 years today,he drove at 120MPH in a dangerous way (whilst filming hmself with his pohone)eventually killing a pregnant woman and injuring 2 children.
I agree with the womans family who say that the sentence is a joke,a car is as much of a weapon as a gun,those ****'s in Liverpool got 40 year sentences for murder how is this different ?

A couple of trials in bristol over the last week or so of fatal stabbings in bristol.
Last week a hartcliffe woman was found guilty of stabbing her partner to death.
Yesterday a 20 year old was told he will have to serve at least 23 years for stabbing a man in Castle park.

Anthony Stinson, 31, had denied murdering Charlotte Wilcock on 4th March but pleaded guilty as his trial began at Preston Crown Court. Ms Wilcock, 31, was stabbed 50 times at her property on Primrose Terrace, Blackburn, while her baby slept upstairs. Stinson, of Darwen, is due to be sentenced on Thursday. He had approached the house at about 9.10pm GMT and attacked Ms Wilcock before continuing the deadly assault inside the home, eventually leaving her body behind the front door, Lancashire Police said. He had kicked and stamped on her before inflicting multiple stab and slash wounds to her body. Ms Wilcock's 15-month-old daughter was inside at the time - and was left alone upstairs until police were alerted the next day. When Stinson was arrested, he told officers he thought he had killed someone, claiming he had been suffering with psychosis and believed he had seen the devil. However, detectives analysed phone records and CCTV to piece together his movements. 'Ferocious assault' They discovered that less than an hour before Ms Wilcock was murdered Stinson had been recording rap videos with a friend, reciting lyrics about killing somebody. CCTV revealed that 15 minutes before the assault, he had bought alcohol and cigarettes. Det Ch Insp Mark Haworth-Oates said "for reasons known only to him" Stinson "launched a brutal attack". He said: "He slashed at her body numerous times in the ferocious assault - inflicting well over 50 individual injuries in the process, many with the use of a Stanley knife - as well as punching and kicking her. "Charlotte had never met Stinson before that night and had no personal connection to him - she was merely sat on her own doorstep having a cigarette. "She should have been safe and could never have foreseen what was about to happen. "It is clear from speaking to Charlotte's family that she was very much loved, and her death has left a huge void in the lives of those who knew her, not least her two children who will now grow up without their mother." In a tribute, Ms Wilcock's family said they were "devastated and truly heartbroken". "She was a devoted mother who was loved by many - she was our world, our love and our life," they added.

Another one who should be locked up forever. One positive thing that I read was that sentencing has got tougher over the last 10 years,not before time, now they need to build some prisons like the Supermax in USA for the ones who are staying in for whole life sentences. |

Maybe they dont condemn the murderous scumbags because they dont want to alienate the violent criminal vote ? add them to the benefit scroungers and it could swing a marginal....maybe.

A white tent has been erected within a police cordon outside the Whitgift Centre and a bunch of flowers can be seen next to the tent. Time to start jailing murderers for the rest of their lives (unless execution returns) in solitary,bread and water diet every other day.

On BBC Radio 4 this morning they read out the names of the teenagers stabbed to death in London this year,part of a discussion on stabbings,apparently across the country stabbings are up 75% in the last 10 years !

The assailant now charged with murder if the young girl....one family totally devastated with the loss of a loved one....another now tainted with fact that they have a son classed as a murderer,.....too many wasted lives 😔

Not a stabbing but some headcase who was banned from driving anyway deliberately drove a car into four men after a pub fight.
Apparently the four men badly injured werent even involved in the fight !!!!!! driver was going to leave the country but he was arrested,now he has to stay here for 20 years.
