So how far off playing Chelsea and Manchester United in the Super league? Well going into Tier 4, and with the Super League being Tier 1, it would be 3 more promotions away. Scroll down to the 'Pyramid' section of this link: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_football_in_EnglandTier 4 = 4 divisons. Tier 3 = 2 divisions. Tier 2 = Championship. Tier 1 = Super League.

Thanks for this...We bought 2 tickets and will be there, we watched the Gas Girls way back over 20 years ago with Steff Curtis and the mostly Welsh girls. They played Arsenal and Fulham at the mem when they were the 2 big teams of the day, plus great hard fought games v city.

Yes, I went to those 2 games (both FA Cup Semi-Finals, if I remember rightly), and although a couple of decades back I was impressed with the level of skill on show. Around 3,000 in attendance to those games, which was mighty impressive back then.

BRISTOL ROVERS WOMEN SECURE PROMOTION TO NATIONAL LEAGUE - By MARTIN BOOTH, Sunday March 10th 2024www.bristol247.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Bristol-Rovers-Women-high-fives-photo-Bristol-Rovers-Women-1200x675.jpgBristol Rovers Women will lift the South West Regional Women’s Football League trophy at the Memorial Stadium after the only team that could catch them at the top of the league drew on Sunday. It means that the Gas Girls will be playing in the fourth tier of the women’s football pyramid next season. Sherborne Town’s 3-3 draw with Bishop’s Lydeard finally dashed Sherborne’s slim hopes of catching Rovers, who will be crowned champions when they face Liskeard Athletic at the Mem on March 24th. Rovers have 37 points after 14 games, with only two matches of the season remaining. They have won 12, drawn one and only lost once, away at Forest Green Rovers back in September. “A season amassed into one picture,” said Gas Girls manager Nathan Hallett-Young as Rovers shared a photo of their full squad and backroom staff. “This wouldn’t have been possible without a highly passionate & driven group of players, with an unbelievable support network behind them to push them to new heights! Buzzing to get to the Mem & celebrate.” Rovers CEO Tom Gorringe tweeted: “Congratulations to everyone involved! A great achievement another big step forward on the journey! Bring on the National League! #UTGG” “Lost for words,” said Gas Girls captain Libby Bell, who has been at the reformed club since day one. Helena Costa, who was part of the club’s development side before moving up to the first team, said: “So proud of my team! National League here we come!” League top scorer Laura Curnock added: “So many people doubted us this year. Here we are, league champions with 2 games to go. So proud of my team. WE ARE NATIONAL LEAGUE.”

The Gas Girls secure promotion to National League ahead of season finale at the Mem..By Daniel Hargraves.
i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article8705912.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/0_DSC_3635JPG.jpg The Gas Girls have secured promotion to the National LeagueBristol Rovers Women FC, better known as the Gas Girls, have secured promotion to the National League after clinching the league title on Sunday afternoon ahead of playing at the Mem on March 24th. The Gas Girls needed one more point to seal promotion after beating second-place Sherborne Town 2-1 earlier this month but managed to confirm their status as South West Regional Womens Football League on Sunday without kicking a ball as Sherborne Town dropped points by drawing 3-3 with Bishops Lydeard. That means that Rovers Women's final home game of the season against Liskeard Athletic which is set to be played at the Mem will certainly be a celebration with promotion already secured and the league title can be lifted at Bristol Rovers' home ground. The achievement is testament to everyone involved with the Gas Girls but special mentions do have to be distributed to the Community Trust's Nathan Hallett-Young and Matthew Davies as well as Community Trust CEO and Gas Girls chairman Adam Tutton who relaunched the club back in 2019. i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9155534.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_Gas-Girls.jpgAs first-team manager, Hallett-Young has done an excellent job improving the team on the pitch with this season particularly impressive given the significant amount of players that were lost after last term. The Gas Girls narrowly missed out on promotion but did secure the League Cup, however that was followed by a number of significant departures making the task of recruiting replacements by no means a straightforward job. Being able to build on last season by finally reaching the goal of promotion to the National League is a serious accolade and now those involved with the Gas Girls can look forward to playing in Step Four next season. Rovers Women currently have 37 points with two league games remaining at home to Liskeard and a final day trip to AFC St Austell on April 21st with a rearranged cup tie at Liskeard in between on April 7th. Tickets are currently on sale to see the Gas Girls lift the league title at the Mem in just under a fortnight's time via the official club website which will no doubt be a joyous occasion of celebration after all the hard work and graft that has been put into getting to this stage. i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/article6771377.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_e4bf432d-732e-4eeb-a870-30cf6b0569f9.jpgA team pic from 2019

The Gas Girls learn their opponents for upcoming National League season..By Daniel Hargraves.i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9234978.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/0_Gas-Girls-promotion.jpgAfter being promoted into the Women's National League last season, the Gas Girls now know who they'll be facing in the Women's National League Division One South West this coming campaign. Now in tier four of women's football, Bristol Rovers Women will be in the same league as AFC Bournemouth, Abingdon United, Bournemouth Sports, Bridgwater United, Keynsham Town, Maidenhead United, Moneyfields, Portishead Town, Southampton Women, Swindon Town and Worthing, who have been moved over from Division One South East. No sides from tier three, the Women's National League Premier Division North and South, have been relegated into Rovers' division with the Gas Girls and fellow promoted side Bournemouth Sports, who won the Southern Region Womens Football League last term, the new faces alongside Worthing. Not only is the upcoming season particularly exciting given that it's the highest up the pyramid the Gas Girls will play since they were reformed in 2019 but it's also the first campaign where they will exclusively play their home games at The Mem after returning to the management of the football club from the Community Trust with details about how that will work specifically alongside the men's first team yet to be confirmed. i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article9234978.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_Gas-Girls-promotion.jpg

“they will exclusively play their home games at The Mem after returning to the management of the football club from the Community Trust with details about how that will work specifically alongside the men's first team yet to be confirmed”
I don’t think our executives have given much thought to this and did hear they are budgeting for gate receipts of £ 45,000 per game.
But I suppose Bridgwater United and Portishead Town will bring a few ?

BRWFC Instagram 'stories' advertising the first 3 homes games, saying free entry for men's Season Ticket holders.
Not sure if that is just for the first 3, all all home games.
"Got a season ticket for the men's side? You can use your season card for FREE entry to our home games on the Sunday!"
