Madness. Wandering around the pitch with my hands on my head with players and flares earlier trying to get work out what happened. Then drove to my mates flat in a state of shock.
Ended up in the seven stars, where a city fan spoke to me as and gave me a hug in the men's toilet. Now in a flat sleeping with a 5ft dinosaur (diplodocus). Wft .

Eppers the o p.....yep! It can happen again, but in an updated way!
First of all absolute credit to Scunthorpe, well their travelling fans. Much respect. To watch that unfold while you're down must have been something hard to so and we all know what it feels like to slip out the league.
The irony of us slipping out the league when we did was the first time we had actually ventured into that domain of the season - much like the way we obtained promotion yesterday.
Congratulations to all players on staff for securing nothing short of a fairy tale promotion from where we were on Jan 1st - 18th.
Absolutely amazing scenes. Amazing fans and amazing day!
It's a nice Sunday roast, GasHeads, and an even nicer summer.....sit back and watch whom will join us Exeter and FGR (congrats to them for being up there all season and winning champions status), Peterborough, Derby and Barnsley....?

We will be reported to the FA about the pitch invasion, but allegedly their keeper was punched. Seems we will be waiting nervously on what charges will be made and the punishment (probably a fine.)
I would have thought a present of some sort should have been given to the keeper as he was all over the place for a few of the goals.

Bristol Rovers record league win (including non-league) is 7-0. Achieved 5 times in its entire 100 year history.
Brighton 1952 - ended up promoted.
Swansea 1954
Shrewsbury 1964
Alfreton 2015 - last game of the season, promoted via play-offs
Scunthorpe 2022 - last game of the season, promoted automatically
So 7-0, once every 18 years or so (war years not counted).
46 games a season.
So once every 825 games sort of thing. If my maths is correct.
Get outta town.

I thought that this lad did a fair job with this video, it must have been awful for the cobblers fans but they have a good goal getter in Hoskins so should stand a great chance in the race for fourth spot.
Now, if you want to see the face of bitterness watch the YouTube interview with their manager ! He looks and talks as if he is about to spring his own trap door !

Fausty saw this coming months ago, at half time yesterday he came and gave me a pep talk, when we scored the 7th and it could have been the 12th I looked over but couldn’t attract his attention , gas to the core even this man couldn’t comprehend what we were seeing. Was probably on the floor mate. It was undiluted carnage when the 7th went in. Just read that we spent 9 minutes in the top 3 all season...the right 9 minutes! Shout out to the marvellous Anthony Evans. He's had a couple of subdued performances since returning from injury, but good grief he was phenomenal yesterday. An absolute superstar. UTFG 🏴☠️⚽️👍🍺❤️ |
