Obviously no work today.. keep digging ..Jeremy might come up somewhere 🤔 That's just today's headlines...what horrors from this lot coming tomorrow...🤔🤭 You do realise that your first 'headline' article is just a piece of satire don't you? The second 'headline' shows that her house was raided. Checks and balances are in place and an investigation is taking place. All good I say. Third 'headline' is not policy. It's just an idea that has been floated, as you yourself stated.
Bit of a slow newsday for you is it Oldie?

All of that But it is bloody funny. A hint of truth in a deeply comical situation. You mention "checks & balance's", totally right in theory. You have to wonder though why the papers relating to the award of a £200million contract to a Tory Peer are being blocked from release by the Tory Government...I wonder why? Are there local elections on Thursday?

No. As you have posted, the home of someone who was involved with this contract has been raided by the Police. Therefore it is blindingly obvious that an investigation is taking place so nobody, including the government, can release any details. There is nothing, zilch, nowt, to indicate the government are being investigated. This is something you are making up as it has not been reported anywhere. Why do you do it?

They awarded a contract without tender to a company, PPE-Medpro, one of a number of companies who were awarded such contracts. This company was "pushed" by Baroness Mone through Michael Gove. Mone is a Tory Peer. Her lawyers deny she has any links to the firm or that she benefitted financially. The National Crime Agency; "It is not known whether the searches of PPE Medpro-associated properties are part of a wider investigation by the NCA into potential fraud related to PPE procurement during the pandemic. In a statement, the NCA said: “The NCA does not routinely confirm or deny the existence of investigations or the names of those who may or may not be under investigation.” However "Lawyers for Barrowman have similarly distanced him from the company, but they have not commented on whether he financially benefited from the firm" Barrowman is her husband. It's all clean, transparent and above board...isn't it?

In today's news...
"The number of fully-qualified GPs has fallen by more than 1,300 since June 2017, while patient numbers soar, despite a Government promise to hire an extra 6,000 GPs by 2024."
Another example of great planning.

Another example of great planning. Are there thousand's of GP's on the dole looking for work? The answer is probably no. You cannot recruit what isn't there. You should be looking at why Doctor's don't seem to want to become GP's. Is it the pay? Well, I've never seen a poor GP. The last contract for GP's, awarded by the Blair government gave them more money for fewer working hours! Also, how can patient numbers soar? We are constantly being told that the population growth is going down, which is why we need mass immigrati..........oh, hang on.

The removal of readily available EU trained doctors to our NHS post Brexit, the constraint placed upon training places by our Government for budgetary reasons (yes folks, allegedly we cannot afford to train our own children). Plus, any competent government would be factoring in an ageing workforce that would be coming to retirement age within ten years. The missing component? Competence. It was the same for nurses. Osborne removed the bursary funding for their training.

The biggest problem with Nursing is the rule that says they MUST have a degree. This was introduced by the Nursing Authorities I believe. The same with the Police. So now 'patient numbers soar' becomes an 'aging workforce'. Which one is it? You seem to have this naive belief that those at the top make decisions and run things. How long does Secretary for Health normally last? Do you seriously think those at the top run the NHS?

Does, or did, the government suppress medical training places due to self imposed budgetary constraints? Yes/No Did Osborne cut the Bursary funding for Nurse training? Yes/No Go on

Really, you couldn't make this stuff up.
"To cut down on spending, Elsie has resorted to eating one meal a day. She’s losing weight, she’s 77," host Susanna Reid said.
"She goes to the supermarket at the end of the day to buy yellow sticker discounted items.
"She gets up early in the morning to use her Freedom bus pass to stay on buses all day to avoid using energy at home. What else should Elise cut back on?"
Johnson's (AKA The Plank) response?
The prime minister replied: “Just to remind you that the 24 hour freedom bus pass was something that I introduced.”
The programme's host replied: “Marvellous, so Elsie should be grateful to you for her bus pass!”
This bloke is the head of our government, 😱😱😱

Is that it? Are the nations Media concentrating on 'Elsie'? I think the PM is trying to run the country, and being honest he cannot look at the problems facing just one person. Where is the context in the story? How much income does she have? What is her expenditure? Do you consider this to be worthy of the national news? Seriously? Do you honestly expect the PM to be aware of every single person in the country?

You miss the point entirely. That was from an interview on national TV (ITV). The question put to him was what should she cut back on now, as a 77 year old pensioner, now that she is riding around on buses to all of day to cut her energy use at home which she cannot afford to pay.(On a free bus pass) What shone through was his total lack of empathy and detachment from that reality. All he could say was "it was me who introduced the freedom pass" Really. Yes, you could not make it up.
