It succeeded in it was a direct route to his supporters. He may be back soon. Some will laugh, ridicule etc,but the messages to his voters will quite possibly see him return to the White House. Labour do similar with FB I recall. So.....the only people who want to listen to him...some audience that is Precisely put LiS. Trump supporters are heavily populated with out and out racists, insane conspiracy theorists and people expressing a staggering degree of ignorance.

The point being,Twitter allowed DT to directly communicate with his likely voters. He maybe about to reopen this line of communication.

The point being,Twitter allowed DT to directly communicate with his likely voters. He maybe about to reopen this line of communication. As he should be able to, in a free speech based democratic society. On the other side of that coin, those of us that oppose his blatant racism, misogyny, likely fraudulent private business practices and macro economic incoherence will call him out, without threats of violence, violent insurrection and attempts at suppression of media outlets just because his supporters don't like their message. Something that you Basel, and others, constantly bitch about with reference to the BBC. LiS mentioned that I invariably link to Guardian articles. As I explained, because they are free. Yet when I linked to papers by the London School of Economics or editorials in the Economist, they were labelled not worthy because they were "Remainer" organisations. There is only one side trying to suppress opinion here, because people like you don't like the opinion, especially when said opinion is backed with factual information. Something you Basel never do, ever.

Shame you and your ilk hated UK democracy and had no respect for democracy after Britons voted to Leave.Actually considering yourself above democracy. Black people that voted for Trump may disagree with you.

You cannot, just a load of half witted statements. Per the norm.

IMHO Twitter should not have banned Trump. The more he speaks, the more of an idiot he sounds. The easier it becomes for people to quote back facts that make him look an idiot. Sadly there is a worryingly large percentage of the US population that have backed him to the hilt. The more of an idiot he appears, the harder it is for them to back down from their position. Because they would have to admit to being fooled by an idiot. The only alternative is to give him their unequivocal support. (Copyright James O'Brien - I actually agree with him on this theory).
ps If Oldie mentions Brexit I will issue a lifetime ban.

In fact why I personally am against any form of censorship, any suppression of free speech. We see on here that even though there are a set of rules, a small number of members still make complete asses of themselves, almost with every post they make, every word they write.

It's hard to respect an opinion which is baseless in fact, very poorly worded and seeping with blind prejudice.

Apparently 1000 woke Twitter employees are to be sacked by Elon.
All of a sudden Biden and Co are concerned about 'big techs' having such big platforms.
Right Wing/free speech will be allowed I assume and tweeters won't get banned for it.
