All midfield dominance without 2 strikers. It nearly paid us dear last week, but we got away with it.

Get in! Billy Elliot! Great goal apparently! 1 1. UTG! He chested it down facing the wrong way, spun on a sixpence and whalloped it into the bottom corner.

A point is a reasonable result away against a fellow playoff contender. I think the automatics could be out of reach now, obviously anything can happen.

Sounds like we dominated the game without creating too many chances.... again. I would have taken a point before the game so a draw is not a disaster. Sadly you don't get any extra points for dominating the game, so its irrelevant. No point playing possession football if you have no end product. You get points for putting the ball in the back of the net more often than your opponent. The results against the top teams are simply not good enough, which doesn't bode well for the play offs, presuming the team makes them. Was going to start a thread about manager of the month being the start of a losing or not winning streak but thought better of it. We have stiff competition from many other teams, it’s this season or i fear we will be here for a long time

Playoffs would be a fantastic achievement given our start to the season. It was my minimum requirement for the season, so fingers crossed we can get over the line.

Swindon’s extra game is home to FGR, so I think we can forget about them making it, swindle were todays big losers.
Here’s an interesting one. I know how many points you want from the next three games, but how many do you think we will get?
We have six points in the bank from the final 2, so if we get battling 5 from next 3 and slip out of top 7, the six points at the end will put us right back in it, finishing on 78/79 will be no worse than 6th, probably 5th.
Holloway used to say “not all those other teams will win their games” On the one from last match day, as we visit Dale, Newport go to Vale while Salford host Mansfield, Northampton host Exeter. Five battling points from our next three to just drop out play offs I don’t want to read any “blown it” posts, as the following weekend we pop back in with the Scunthorpe home to seal our playoff - it’s actually the difficult getting of the 5 or 6 from the next three that actually gives us the playoffs, it’s in those sort of matches you earn it.

Stats: Tranmere 1 BRFC 1 - 32 % - 68 % - Shots 12-11 - On Target 4-2 - Corners 5-12 - Fouls 16-11 - Yellows 3-0 - Reds 0-0 - Referee Marc Edwards - Attendance 6,637
Match Report:
Elliot Anderson secured an important draw for Bristol Rovers at play-off rivals Tranmere in a tense League Two clash.
Anderson's excellent equaliser denied Tranmere a first win in four after Kane Hemmings' opener.
Joey B*****'s visitors dominated possession early on but lacked incisiveness despite getting into dangerous positions.
Tranmere striker Elliott Nevitt broke free on the counter-attack, forcing a strong save from goalkeeper James Belshaw before the break.
Hemmings then showed superb quality in the 56th minute to latch onto Joe Murphy's clearance and rifle high beyond Belshaw to give the hosts the lead.
But Nevitt lacked his strike partner's composure as he struck straight at Belshaw after being played through on goal.
And Tranmere were punished as Anderson turned exquisitely in the box and fired an equaliser low beyond Murphy just seven minutes after the opener.
Substitute Sam Foley almost capitalised on a defensive scramble to score a winner for the hosts.
But both sides missed the chance to gain a crucial three points in their promotion bid.

Poland semi final that never should have been played, pitch was totally soaked, old style soaked. Muller and the German team later said, the better team lost. Was great to hear but sad too

But I do like the idea of switching to punning match day threads.
What’s next?
it’s Salford gonna be good!
Whose Port in a promotion storm?
See Green go Blue.
Dale gotta get beaten.
Who put the **** into this season?

Not many seem to have that skill anymore, they need to trap it and knock it down, by which time the chance has gone.

Saltford is a village near Keynsham - please don't let them get ahead of themselves!
