Hell of a promotion battle!
This game and the competition between maybe eleven FCs.
For Rovers, win ,lose or draw and the battle for promotion goes on.
For Cobblers too.A win will be no 'shoo in' for them.
3 points. That's what both clubs are after.
Joe has said how absolutely focused on winning football matches his squad is.
He still believes they have what it takes and promotion will be delivered.
The team is more or less selecting itself right now,due to our fantastic form.
You get a man that has a good football pedigree.
He wants to commit himself to getting your pitifully underperforming FC promoted to the 2nd tier.
He has it in mind how to do this and the necessary self belief.
Your FC El Presidente has the commonsense to hire him, back him, give him the whip hand and then vitally time to deliver.
Here we are.
Brilliant stuff from Wael and Joe.
Regarding the game, obviously our defence must as usual be strong and disciplined.
Upfront scoring boots must be worn.
For me though, our midfield has become so important.Whether it's Coutts or Whelan tidying up,being all grown up with sensible possession football ,both are excellent.
Then our aces of Billy and Anthony with Sam doing his thing.
I think when they take control, winning the midfield battle, we have such an excellent chance of winning a football match.
It's a team game of course, but I suspect our magnificent midfield hold the key.
Come on Rovers!

Our defence is none too shoddy either!
Win tomorrow and I reckon we'll either win the league or come second if FGR don't completely bottle it.

With JB dodging another bullet, he now has a window to finish off what he’s started and that’s to get us promoted. Looking at our opponents five of the remaining nine matches are in the mix with us. Starting tomorrow with Northampton. We also have games with Tramere, Salford Port Vale and Forest Green Bottllers .
I been watching the Gas for half a century now, and the current squad are arguably the best we have ever had and watching this team is a pleasure with so much talent on show, great spirit and we are capable of beating all of the teams in the run in and I consider they are in with a real chance of promotion if not going up as Champions.
The first cup final is only hours away UTG!

I disagree. We all know what division we're in. My post was a positive one in nature. Sometimes to step forward you may have to step back first. This is what happened with JB at Rovers. In the scenario we go up. The squad we have now is imo better than the one constructed by BG.Also, even bearing in mind there will be changes in players before next season ,I believe we can challenge again in the 3rd tier.

I fancy Rovers to win this one so long as there isn't any stupid red cards.
What's happened to Nicholson of late?
The signing of Elliot Andersen has been crucial - shows how links within football can prove very important.
I think the gas will win 2-1 but there will be some crossed fingers towards the end of the match.

On the Derby v Coventry match on TV, the commentator mentioned that the suspensions for 10 yellow cards don't apply after match 37. So Sam Finley's in the clear! (Assuming that rule applies throughout the Football League and not just in the Championship).
