Great stuff. A pleasure to be there. Thought first half was the best we`ve played all season, and we really should have been out of sight. Second half was a bit more equal, but always felt that we were in control of things. Aaron Collins was outstanding. Took the Sutton defence apart, and looked a player brimming with confidence. His goal was worth the price of admission. And the rain held off. Time for a few ciders!!

Good result, but one swallow does not make a spring.
The club is still massively underachieving and is still well below where we should be in the table, especially when you consider the size of our budget in comparison to clubs like Sutton.
Results have improved, but that really isn't saying much. So when people speak about how they see the team 'progressing', I take this with a pinch of salt.
I still remain unconvinced that the team has the ability and consistency to break into the playoff reckoning, and I don't expect much from the games in hand.
I think we will finish around 10th/11th.

Sutton arrived at the Mem minus 4 or 5 of their better players, but - and as they say - "you can only beat what's infront of you".
Rovers did and in some style.
Some wonderful football played tonight with some super individual performances too.I thought all had a decent game with Aaron Collins deservedly winning the MOTM award.
Elliot Anderson is quality.
I like Nick Anderton effective and gives it his all.
It could of been 8 0!
A super Rovers night!

The club's natural position is the top end of League One (possibly even the lower end of the championship), not languishing in the middle of the league below. Beating the likes of Sutton should be expected, not celebrated.

Played some lovely football first half, how it was only 1-0 was unreal. Collins goal was a brilliant finish, really enjoyed tonight. UTG

Stats: BRFC 2 Sutton 0 - 54% - 46% - Shots 20-15 - On Target 6-2 - Corners 5-6 - Fouls 9-11 - Yellows 1-3 - Reds 0-0 - Referee: Christopher Pollard - Attendance 6,700
Match Report:
Goals early in each half from Harry Anderson and Aaron Collins saw Bristol Rovers end Sutton's 10-match unbeaten League Two run.
The home side took a fourth-minute lead when Anderson connected sweetly with a low right-footed drive from just outside the box.
Rovers should have been out of sight by the break. Elliot Anderson went close on three occasions, Collins shot straight at Dean Bouzanis and a goal was ruled out by a very late linesman's flag.
Paul Coutts had the best chance to make it 2-0 on 45 minutes but saw his penalty saved by Bouzanis after a foul on Collins by Coby Rowe.
However, Collins doubled the advantage seconds after the interval, taking advantage of Bouzanis's rash decision to leave his area by rounding him and scoring from out near the right touchline.
Sutton contributed to an entertaining game, but only threatened in the closing minutes of the first half when Enzio Boldewijn saw a shot deflected just wide.
Rovers continued to be the better side after the break and were worthy winners.
ROVERS: Belshaw, Connolly, Finley, Collins, Nicholson (L Clarke 82), E Anderson, Coutts (c) (Whelan 69), Anderton, Taylor, H Anderson (Thomas 76), Hoole.
Subs: Jaakkola, Thomas (76), L Clarke (82), Saunders, Harries, Whelan, Rodman.
SUTTON: Bouzanis, Wyatt, Rowe, Goodliffe, Ajiboye, Davis, Bugiel, Boldewijn, Kizzi, Wilson, Smith.
Subs: Nelson, Beautyman, Randall, Dundas, Korboa.

Bristol Rovers take all three points in a thoroughly entertaining evening's football. A dominant display from start to finish results in a season high position of 11th. UTG
We started on the front foot with a very early goal from Harry Anderson, following a really good move down the right flank.
The first half in particular, was a demonstration of the attacking potential of this Bristol Rovers side. The only thing that was missing was a hatful of goals.
There were far too many stand out performances to mention really. Sam Nicholson and Aaron Collins were on fire. Full of running and skilful touches, it really was a joy to watch.
Nick Anderson on the left side was simply outstanding. Strong defensively, purposeful attacking up the left flank, full of energy.
The whole back four were superb actually, a really solid unit. Belshaw did not have an awful lot to do but pulled off his customary saves when required.
Finley and Coutts were industrious in midfield, breaking play up and closing down play. The two Andersons were all over the place (in a good way).
We should have been at least 3-0 up at half time, and whilst we allowed Sutton United to play a bit in the second half, the result never felt in doubt at any point.
A piece of individual brilliance by Aaron Collins just after the break sealed the victory, and was the least he deserved for a magnificent performance of forward play. For long periods, he was the lone striker but held the ball up superbly and was always supported quickly by a wave of players joining the attack.
Fair play to the travelling Sutton United fans, who despite being few were very noisy and provided some entertaining chants. They seem to be enjoying life in the football league and just happy to not be doing down.
Four points playing two teams in the playoffs is encouraging. We need consistent results from now on.
Next up Stevenage in a game we simply have to win.

It was a very good performance from the team. We made the keeper work hard tonight which we haven’t in the last 3 matches. We played to our strengths with runners, width and playing to feet. We need a bit of shooting practice but that early goal meant we played with a bit of freedom. Should have had more goals but some very good performances. Anderton played as well as I’ve seen on the left and Nicholson, Collins and H Anderson kept at them all night. Belshaw looked very secure and Coutts had a good game. All the defence played well and Connolly and Taylor look a good combination. Finley had one of his poorest games I thought but he never gave up and kept plugging away. It looked like a back 4 which made us look more balanced. I criticised JB last week v Oldham thinking he was tactically out-thought by Sheridan but fair play to him tonight, he set us up perfectly to deal with a direct team, they were kept at a distance and most of their threats were from outside the box. Sutton looked a bang average side and I expected them to come at us in the second half but perhaps the second goal knocked the stuffing out of them so soon in the second half. We caught them on a bad day perhaps just as Oldham caught us last week. But if they were 3rd before tonight then we have nothing to worry about in this league and we can beat anyone. It’s a poor league and but for the first half of the season we’d be up around the top 3 but others could say that. I’ll just enjoy a good performance tonight and move on to the Stevenage match. Well done the team and JB.

Barton Haters missed a treat last night. Shame. Not sure what Sutton's game plan was, don't often see teams playing wide open like that away from home. I'm not complaining though. Makes a change from the tight niggly tactics in this division. Collins is the best forward we've had since Lambert I reckon and will only get better.

Very good performance last night.
the only minor criticism is missing the penalty and occasionally looking for an extra pass rather than take a shot on
A saying as old as time, but if we played like that every week..

In the space of a week, I`ve stood and watched three vastly different performances.
An abject capitulation to the side second bottom of the league. A battling draw at home to a side vying for a promotion spot. And a demolition of another side, in contention for automatic promotion. What next? They remind me of Stingray. "Anything can happen in the next half hour."

That is usually a description of a mid-table side. Statistically true here, but doesn't factor in 'momentum'
