Like many others i sat in 6 hours of traffic, was forced into drinking lager as cider doesn't exist in Manchester, spent £14 to enter a s*** stadium, £2.50 on a s*** programme, £2.40 on a s*** pie and totally wasted a day of my weekend to watch the utter shambles of a performance this team full of pussies served up. Every person who attended had every right to boo the s*** out of them. so your a supporter if there winning? Behave yourself. I'll support them to the bitter end, but I don't see why I and others should stand there and accept a totally gutless and inept performance after enduring a nightmare journey, however I vented my angers and frustrations immediately after the final whistle. However I would like to say that the Ryan Brunt is c**t chants were absolutely disgusting...

I've never booed our team during a game. I didn't half get stuck into them though during the lap of "honour" after our previous relegation at home against Sheffield Wednesday. Against Mansfield I supported the team until the last minute. I do however have to admit that I was one of the first on the pitch after the final whistle to let Box 1 know what I felt about it all. And yes I know that I should know better at my age.

Abusing individual players, bang out of order. Booing and shouting rubbish? Not a problem.

In the last three seasons since we were were relegated to league 2 we have played 71 away league games and won 14 of those games.
Yes 14! Some of those loses have seen the opposition hit 4 goals on a number of occasions.
I don't condone any individual abuse, but those that follow away from home have every right to make their feelings known about the team as a whole after that stat!

We are back to the holier than thou "I'm a real supporter" "I know more because I've been watching since 1883" nonsense. To say you do not boo may give you a warm smug feeling, but it does not make you a better fan.

In the vast majority of cases, I would say no it isn't right to boo your own team. For me you have 90 minutes a week to positively help the performance of your team by supporting the players, and that's how it should always be. Take last season for example (or any other to be fair), do you really think booing the team helped us gain positive results?
The point is that there are other ways to show dissatisfaction at the way the football club is performing both on and off the pitch but during the 90 minutes shouldn't be one of them. If a player clearly isn't up to the standard we require (we've had enough), then that isn't the individual players fault is it? So what is hurling abuse at him going to do? (serious question). We should be focusing on making the environment a thriving one for our players and a hostile one for the opposition.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't go along to defeats to Dagenham on a cold tuesday night and clappily say 'well done lads you done brilliantly'. It is more along the lines of 'come on you've got to do better than this' etc. Without feeling the need to call any of my own players a ****, surely we are better than that? And as a collective, then I certainly think silence sends out a bigger message than booing IMO.

Some people have a difference of opinion and that's fine, we are all entitled to one. UTG

It's everyone's choice whether to boo or not, but I wish somebody could explain what this achieves as it certainly does not help the team. It probably makes the person booing feel better. I don't mind booing after the game because that will not affect the result, but personal abuse is pathetic.

Anyone else sit in the East stand?
Heard a lot of moaning over the years (expected after what we have been through) but never any personal abuse (where I sit anyway).
Maybe it's those chilled out faded rock hard blue seats that keep us in the East stand grounded.
