Did the referee take any action against Joe or Wayne? Joe gave the GK a chance to play after he insisted he was fit to play.He said he was "kicking himself now" and a lesson learnt alround. This 'competition ' is barely on par with preseason friendlies and I appreciate a manager that made 11 changes,no substitutions at ht even at 5 0 down and the team made the deficit 2 by ft. Daft and sadly no surprise how it's been weaponised to have yet another go at Bristol Rovers manager. A competition ending in a Wembley final which, if my memory serves me right, attracted around 40,000 gasheads the last time we got that far and sparked the momentum that got us promoted via the playoffs.

A discredited version of a previously creditable competition.

That came in a different guise. U21!!!! Yes, but it didn't attract many more fans and was hugely derided back then too until the semis arrived.

What did the referee do about this incident? Possibly nothing at the time, as Andy Mangan and others stepped in very quickly to remove B***** from the scene. If the ref saw what occurred he may include mention of it in his post match report. Law 5 FA Rules- The Referee - "... provides the appropriate authorities with a match report, including information on disciplinary action and any other incidents that occurred before, during or after the match"

The manager chose to play a young goalkeeper who he said was injured and blamed it on conceding so many goals. That’s not learning a lesson. That being negligent and a little bit thick. That’s not another stick to beat Joey with. Any manager who made the same decision at any level would look a tad stupid And if Belshaw played and got an injury what would we be saying today? Remember Tisdale played Anssi in the competition last season and he got an injury.

From what they said on the radio, it was stopped before there was any need for him to intervene. Andy Mangan and co reacted very quickly. Almost as if they knew what was likely to happen ...

🤣 at which point I conveniently say 'I don't care about this competition ' roll on Saturday. A win would be amazing. A good rest for some players.

B***** has a point, Exeter only made 10 changes and their keeper is back to school this morning. 😂
Once again B*****’s lack of tactical awareness ensured his team was blown away within 12 minutes and he couldn’t handle it hence his anger aimed at the Exeter bench.
The bloke is an embarrassment.
B***** Out!

Nothing happened then.As I thought probable. Maybe all bluff and bluster, knowing he had his mates ready to step in. There would have been a good few witnesses after all, had it gone further. Not quite Joey's style.

But if we'd won I'd be cockahoop It was an ironic post. Shame we're out and the manager is ultimately responsible but we move on. I would rather have lost to Walsall in R1 of the FA Cup last season and stayed up than had the small run we did with 10 goals scored and gone down.

So...with that remark you are happy just to ignore the previous 45 or so minutes...Saint and Greavesy..* game of TWO halves" Have you heard Joe's post game chat LIS? You learn from all aspects of a football match. I don't listen to any managers "speak of the game" prior to or post game, as I find it a thing just for the sake of having to do so, and certainly would not be giving this bloke any of my time #Bartonout
