Oops. Too excited about Christmas already. We are at the O's New Years Day. I'll be at the Birkbeck... My Orient mates have said the Birkbeck has gone downhill in last few years. They go in their SC bar these days. The SC bar is really well run with excellent beers. I think it's a £1 for non-members. The Birkbeck has seen better days, but at least it's still open (was threatened with closure a few years ago). Decent beer garden as well.

Should be a good test for us, against higher class opposition.

Lovely town that. Hope all that are making the trip enjoy at least the North Yorkshire surroundings and hopefully, the result too. Bring out fresh dead every day

Bring out fresh dead every day Don't know what you're on about, sorry. It’s an Harrigut joke, many go there to retire. I’m guessing you understand now

Very impressed with their manager, came across as a thoroughly decent and honest chap in his post match interview, one to watch I reckon.

He's been in the job since 2009. When your dad is chairman, it's unlikely you'll be sacked !? Ah,the age old nepotism. I saw this in local football and of course it goes on in all trades and sport. Suppose it depends on the people, how much is at stake in the business, strength of father son relationship etc. In this Harrogate example, the longevity in the job does appear to of helped the Manager. He had to nurture what he had done right, learn from mistakes, correct and nurture, etc.
