Unlike the tedious nature of your post DrF. Still, opinions and all that. Bit rich from you, but hey. What a wonderful result. Yeh,I suppose so. Excellent result. Oh and I just bought Ghosts of Cathkin Park by Michael Mcewan. I imagine you may of read it,but if not you're welcome to borrow it.

Excellent point on the road before 15000 fans at Valley Parade followed by 453 gasheads. Coming back twice from behind and a superb couple of headed goals by Kilgour and Pittman.

Just watched the goals.
Pittman header a bit of a fluke but I'll take that every day of the week.
UTG!

Belshaw was poor for Bradford's first.
Sooner our number 1 is fit the better.

Can't see how it was a fluke, he's back peddling and only place he can score is top far post and he put it there precisely. Stunning header. Best header I can remember since the days of Gareth Taylor

He clearly intended to get his head to the ball but if he intended for it to loop over the keeper like that, then we have a Messi and a messiah on our hands.

it’s always a crap time and feeling after a bit of surgery, but it does get better. whatever you do, go well. 👍🏻 Thank you very much, I don’t know if you are spiritual or not but, if so, please just think of me and ask for healing. I’m not talking organised religion as i have grown to despise it but i will take anything right now. I’m told I’m suffering post of blues, 32 bloody tablets a day. I got it wrong yesterday and took 48. The good lady is now doling them pout, how she manages to be near me is beyond me but i am very grateful. Thanks once again my friend I hope the tablets will aid recovery. I only have to take 14 a day, and that's a real pain - not sure I could cope with 32, you're doing bloody well. I had to succumb and get one of those dosset boxes (which I thought were only for OAPs), as I sometimes forgot what I'd taken and what I hadn't. I'm holding positive thoughts for you mate, hopefully the point gained today has brought a little bit of cheer. Awful first half, but good to see the fight come to the fore in the 2nd half.

11 different goal scorers now, 3 on two goals. This will help us when Thomas and Nicholson get a run in the team.

He clearly intended to get his head to the ball but if he intended for it to loop over the keeper like that, then we have a Messi and a messiah on our hands. Just put it in the dangerous area, get your head to the ball, get it on target, then you never know.

Just got back. Well, plus a pint and a curry..
Hmmmm....a great away day with loads of funny incidents away from the 90mins that dragged is there, but over all a lucky draw? A result made of character? An inspired managerial sub that worked?
Who knows? Maybe a combination of above and some more.
We were definitely rewarded at the end ... Pitman? What can you say? 1 chance 1 goal... Invaluable? Some near me called him a lazy sh*thead, none of it is untrue, yet some of it is unfair.
My m o m Evans again provided a crescendo of assists that the likes of Barrett Westbrooke and McCormick last year would have been proud of....we looking devastating at set pieces second half. He didn't get everything right, but he had that ki potential to make mazy runs and create.... create space and opportunities.... potential a key player. He's grown into the set up well, because the first few matches I couldn't fathom his inclusion...(?)
First half, forget about it. We were a basket case, car crash waiting to happen. Everything that is negative about our play, set up and formula was exposed. And we had no answer. If 3-0 it wouldn't have been unfair.... fair play to Bradford, they cut through us with devastation! Too much ball watching, non marking and slow to react....
.... which cost us both goals and thanks to defensive errors that continued into 2nd half..
Hoole - not his fault, or match. The switch to back 3 helped us as a team more than him. Taylor - liability and shaky today. Anderton - tried well and steady. Alf- took his goal well and general defence play ok. Luke Thomas and Nicholson - changed the match for us...we looked like a threat every time forward.
Yep, a game of 2 halves..
When B***** is scratching his head and not making change until half time, then claw a point or possibly more, I have to concede and say as much as I didn't like it, he got it right and well done..
On final whistle boos from home audience. Bradford 1-0 JAB.
A good draw that felt like a win....how important might that be in scheme of things?

I thought Belshaw was poor for one of Bradford's goals, the one from the corner. I think him the best reserve GK we've had for sometime, but the sooner Anssi is back the better as he is our number 1.

Thanks, bas for kind words.
I respectfully disagree. ....but I understand why you say it.
To attribute blame to him on first is harsh, as in context our defence just wasn't blocking shots or crosses all first half. Very often he was our last line of defence and was exposed to our non marking, non challenging, ball watching static defenders so it was only a matter of time before we breached.
He probably could have done better, but so should the defence as their move conspired 3 players (crosser, header and finisher) v 8 in our box and no one got near the ball!?
What could Belshaw seriously do apart from shot stop, I mean, he's not a world class keeper?

Oh yes,I see why many Gasheads see Belshaw as our number 1 or a serious challenger to Anssi and maybe if Anssi was fit for Tuesday Joe would still select Belshaw, but I think Anssi the better GK. What could Belshaw ofdone from this corner goal? Well I'll answer what I think Anssi might of done. Possibly he may of come out and punched the corner out.Maybe. What I think likely is he would of got a stronger arm/hand contact with the header and pushed it away from immediate danger. Granted,I was'nt there and I'm going by the telly replay.

I posed the question earlier in the thread whilst the game entered it's ending phase , is a fitness thing? Something Joe considers vital.
