In just over half a decade, since February 2016, £ 20+ million has been invested in the club but it hasn't got us any closer to a new stadium, financial sustainability or Championship football in fact it has taken us further away from those things. Being content to rely on continued owner investment to fund the shortfall is a perfect example of complacency. Can only assume 99% of clubs are complacent then
Relying on the owner to keep funding the shortfall, watching that shortfall triple while the club flounders and apparently being content with this situation is a sign of complacency which I don’t think you will find at many other clubs.

Absolutely spot on Cheshire. And here is a masterclass in complacency. Thank you for posting this clip, great to see Nick doing well, and enjoyed TG reminding those who watch this that progression of the club is ongoing. The question is, for someone who is clearly not a supporter of the club, is only interested in continually criticising the club and taking side swipes at any and every given opportunity, are you able to offer some expert insights to us mere mortals who were unable to pick up on complacency in this interview? What a load a ball cocks, just sit back eh, it will be fine, relegation is not an option, the UWE will get built etc etc, fruit market sabotaged. How much more do you need, to understand that we are being led to destruction BUT Wael is a nice guy so it is all good eh ffs, wake up and smell the BS

Your comments will be taken with a pinch of salt, given that the last comment I read from you was accusing a local sportsman of committing fraud while he was dying, in your words to get him and his family out of debt, and his cancer 'wasn't real'. A man who sadly passed away from said illness not long after reading your comment, the most disgusting, bitter and despicable comments I've ever read or heard from any human being. May he rest in peace after his honourable departure from this world, bless his soul, such a lovely bloke as well. You crack on assassinating good peoples characters, just don't expect good people to toe the line behind you, I hope your bitterness and nasty words to those who certainly didn't warrant it is something you feel remorseful of over time. This world is in desperate need of encouragers and good people.

I saw a great deal of realism in the interview, trying to make the best of a bad job (ie the Mem)and understanding the challenges that the decades of lack of investment has brought us. And that sustainability is desired, but realistically not achievable whilst at the Mem, and that shortfall needs owner investment from WAQ. There is an acknowledgement that biggest priority is new stadium, but in the meantime we try and maximise what we can at the Mem. I see no complacency. I suspect Swiss doesnt like reference to continued owner investment to fund shortfall, even though its an inevitable requirement but I'm rather surprised he didnt say so. Change the bloody record will you. Just for balance, this is what Steve Lansdown, (the guy that some people on here seem to love more than our own owner) has written off over at the Gate in the last few years: 2021 £14m 2019 £71m 2014 £35m Bristol City historical losses were: 2009 £6.5m 2010 £11.8m 2011 £11.45m 2012 £14.4m 2013 £12.9m I'll stop there, need I go on??? These were all well before the development of Ashton Gate, and were when they already had a pretty decent stadium from which they could generate income. I think most people would prefer to listen to those who understand football finance as it is in todays world rather than from the past. Kieran Maguire, the best expert on football finance, suggests the best football ownership model is that where club debt is periodically converted to shares. WAQ is following that model, so I'm sure will do for most of us

Wow, something more despicable and disgusting than Mao's proclamations that caused tens of millions of deaths, worse than people who claimed it was fine to own other humans beings as property and routinely tied them together and threw them overboard in mid ocean, worse than the declarations around the Aryan race which saw many millions murdered for being, amongst other groups, Jewish, or black, or Romani.
What on earth did KP say for it to be the worst thing you've ever encountered?

This was something that directly affected me as someone who was close to home in a sport that I have a great fondness and respect for, and although the deceased was not a close connection he was someone I knew a lot about and respected for what he did and the dignity I which he conducted himself towards the premature end to his life. Furthermore, out of respect for the guy and his family it certainly won't be aired on this forum nor any other public domain. There is a line to cross and one that should come with deep regret on reflection to make such wicked assumptions. There may be others who feel it is OK to discuss the details of someone unable to defend themselves, but I do not. KP will know what he said and hopefully regrets his words.

You can't blame The Duke for asking as you did raise the subject but I agree, a subject best not discussed on here.

You have never heard about Mao, the slave trade or Germany in WW2? OK then. As for KP, speak to him, he's one of the more sensible contributors on here. My best bet is that there's a reasonable explanation for anything that he's said.

On Gaschat Tom Gorringe is being pilloried for outsourcing ticketing to Ticketmaster and someone even mentioned the "love in" with Tom and Ticketmaster. These "love in's" which we get with Tom and Wael are one of the things which is setting them up for failure and the Ticketmaster issue is a good example. I praised Tom's decision to outsource where possible but outsourcing needs to be managed properly and judging by his demeanor in the interview I'm not sure he recognises that. It seems very likely that he might have sat back in a passive way and thought "I've done my job now it's up to Ticketmaster" while feeling confident that Gasheads would always blame any problems on them and not him. An attitude of complacency which was bound to backfire.

But just to pick one thing out. If people preface conversations with 'I've supported the club since 19_ _ and then mention something that they are unhappy about and this happens often enough for you to see a pattern, maybe, just maybe, you are upsetting an important segment of your customer base.

I haven't watched the video and have no intention of doing so but I do know that the kids on Twitter like Tom because he talks to them.
However, I have heard some negative things about Tom from people who have dealt with him on what should be a professional basis but has turned out to be anything but. I have only had cause to contact him once regarding a commercial question and he passed the buck to one of his juniors without asking the full details of the enquiry. I think Tom likes to delegate and get others to do the graft hence the outsourcing which I think has made life more difficult for the customers that it should be helping.

Is that it all you are offering? A total lack of substance from both you and Swiss I think that Swiss is pretty much on the money. It was interesting though that he mentioned issues with implementation of projects. I'll list some of those issues again if you want me to, but they weren't tiny glitches, they were big mistakes which he should have seen coming. But at least he's accepted responsibility for them. Would be nice if he looked like he cared though rather than smiling as he mentions those problems. The entire tone smacks of 'all is well here, heading in the right direction', when the losses, League position and the fact that we've scraped the absolute bottom of the barrel to find this unpleasant manager all suggest the polar opposite. Yet he sits there, smirking away, looking as if he hasn't a care in the world. He also said that he expects to be criticised and won't take any notice. In what way is that even close to a sensible attitude? People point out mistakes and ways that things could be done better, and if he feels threatened or if there's any implied criticism he's just going to ignore it. I'm glad you are happy with him.

OK, one thing he said that I agree with is that departments need to continually assess their efficiency, so whilst he's claiming an extra 80p per-person yield, I think that was from people using bars, what's the additional gross retained profit PA for areas he's responsible for since he arrived? One other thing I'm particularly interested in, but have never got an answer to. Those little plastic boxes on the turnstiles, are they just scanners are are they recording data so that the club can see who is attending, what time they arrive, how many games each season ticket holder attends etc etc etc. You know, basic CRM stuff from 20 years ago. My suspicion is that they are just 'dumb' scanners.

No

Happy to discuss, never shy away and i know a lot more about it as i was personally involved and ghalia had to hire a minder at the funeral, such is the hatred toward her and how she scammed the cash , leaving him to pass with one bag of clothes and on a friends sofa. Out with it i say

Its almost as if you cant find anything, so are trying to find something to deflect, like the turnstiles (a bit like Swiss did focussing on TG's demeanour in a minor Podcast interview) Must do better in order to get any credibility
