Some may view using the term "horrific" to describe poorly worded journalism as somewhat ironic. Horrific to me is seeing innocent people needlessly killed in wars. Agreed on the title of the Kanu piece however. I am prepared to accept the OTTness of that. Relatively in competence terms. A relatively crap piece of journalism. It has been a bit of a conversation recently at home where me and my good lady talk of words often used out of context, horrified, horrific and mortified being the favourite top three. The last time a single mother who was 'horrified' when she was refused the option to pay for a meal with cash, first world problems eh! I feel sorry for journos who work long hours being asked to over produce content within strict guidelines and time frames, only to be slated on a regular basis.

They get paid for this lazy journalism and Frosty is on thin ice, maybe talk to him and you will find the answer. He is easy to contact and you will find that he is around many parts of our catchment and you can ask him if he would talk to you , in private. Personally, i feel sorry for him but then, i made the effort to engage with him.

Lol My use of the word horrific, which is relative to an online article about Bristol Rovers. The context was used with tongue in cheek. The word legend is always overused. Distracting from the fact the journalism is poor. The name of the thread. They are well paid, they work to deadlines and have to be competent first. That article is poorly headlined.

The article is poorly headlined. I'm sure Sam is good at his job. Everyone makes mistakes.

is it me or are the more negative articles ascribed to James Piercy, thereby leaving Frosty to do the day-to-day football coverage in a more benign atmosphere?

So the first line of the report on last night's game, after what can only be described as a positive run out for at least 3 players we have missed, Clarke, Thomas, Nicholson.
'Another defeat was added to Joey B*****'s record...'
It goes on to say that it won't sting as much and gave positives, but did any of us sit here and think 'oh no Rovers have lost again under B*****' ?
Straight away on the negative, when will he ever be able to shake off that bad run?
Why is it such doom and gloom after a positive result Saturday.
It's the cup we only care about until the semis.
I just think that was unnecessary.

I have no issue with him or his articles in general.

In general I find Frosty reflects the mood around the club (which can also be frosty, but that's unrelated), and provides some insights into what's going on both on the field and off
And the vast majority of it is worth reading
So given his reported remit, that's not bad I think
