B***** is just one more employee of the football club that has been going for nearly 140 years. A mere incidental footnote in the clubs history.
Most football fans won't even know who JB is managing. Any comments will be aimed at B*****, not BRFC.

A few anti B***** posts from English clubs hardly means Rovers name has been dragged into the gutter. No one is perfect. You may run out of peopleif you expect perfection. I'm hoping WAQs gamble on keeping JB on after what was a poor start might pay off. I would like confirmation from Joe as to why he gambled on 2 OAPs - in football terms - as a main part of our strikeforce. Was the market so poor? Find me a positive post from a supporter of a different club. And never forget Bas, what Rovers' own support base said about him when Fleetwood appointed him. It wasn't complimentary. You imply that B***** falls just short of perfection, even you aren't that myopic. I don't imply ,I point out no one is perfect. I think only a very few supporters are as upset by Joe's appointment as you. We can't always have the minority dictating to the majority you know. Think of people in your life you've forgiven, I imagine you ,in all your magnificence and wisdom may of done that.

There aren't any people in my life who continually repeat the same offence and then attempt to joke about it. I have no time for such people. If there was someone, and they demonstrated that they were genuinely remorseful for their previous conduct and had changed, then I may invest valuable time into attempting to rebuild a relationship with them. Now, the challenge for you. How many Rovers' supporters approve of B***** as a person and are comfortable with him being associated with the club, and how do you arrive at your conclusion please? I have those threads containing posts from Rovers' fans saying what they actually thought when Fleetwood employed him. Ball's in your court.

It kind of raises the question, if B*****'s record, which he regards as a suitable topic for attempted humour, isn't sufficient reason to make a stand, what exactly would it take to make some people draw a line in the sand? How about, attempting to flog off the stadium that we were lucky enough to inherit, ( a stadium that was built as a memorial to Bristol`s rugby playing dead of WW1 ) so that it could be demolished and turned into a supermarket. Appointing B***** doesn`t come anywhere near, in my opinion. Two things. The stadium wasn't 'inherited'. Half was bought at an agreed commercial rate, the other half was purchased for a small sum due to Bristol Rugby doing more or less what one of the Glasgow clubs did. Secondly, I opposed the Sainsbury's deal for multiple reasons, including the laughable 'Memorial Garden', which would inevitably have fallen in to disrepair and have been forgotten. For my efforts I was branded 'not a real supporter' and told to 'f**k off to BS3'. Your question should be directed towards people who supported Higgs in that endeavour.

That`s exactly who my remark was aimed at. I said the same things myself at the time, and received the same reply.

They don`t have any supporters on here, to defend them.

Please sing with gusto. My only Rovers, my only Rovers You make me happy when skies are grey You'll never know, dear, how much I love you So don't take my Rovers away Unfortunately the Rovers I've supported all my life has been taken away. You formulate your own reasons for continuing to support the regime that's dragged the club's name into the gutter, some of us are above that, and don't require your permission to comment, as often as we like, on the situation we find ourselves in. It kind of raises the question, if B*****'s record, which he regards as a suitable topic for attempted humour, isn't sufficient reason to make a stand, what exactly would it take to make some people draw a line in the sand? I take it that your sky has fallen in on you.

People get quite attached to their football clubs, and can feel personally offended when things that they object to strongly are done in the name of that club. It's called having a conscience.

I say very few feel as strongly against Joe as you.Eg,non attendance. Even after a generally disapointing start to the season, how many attended against Carlisle United.

You asked everybody attending how they felt about B*****? Cool, let's see how you recorded the results and what they were then. You may get away with answering a different question with someone else Bas, but you should realise that isn't going to work here.
