I started my 'stay away' protest the moment Punchy was named as manager. If others applied the same standard to Rovers that they appeared to apply to Fleetwood, a handful of season tickets would have been sold, the club would have contacted people who hadn't renewed for comment, and he would already be gone. No point waving your arms in the air and wailing about it now when you are the reason that he's still here. #metoo#bartonout

Are we saying that Blackpool supporters care more about their club than Rovers' supporters do? Just stay away, and email the club telling them why. He'll be gone after the first game played in front of less than 1000 people.

Blackpool certainly lead the field in terms of fans protests and with more than a little help from the courts they achieved their aims.

Wael needs to take a look at the National League table today, Dover are bottom and are a complete basket case and probably ought to give up, the 3 teams above them are Aldershot, Southend and Barnet.
Be warned Wael, the danger is very real, you need to sort this mess out, and quickly.
As a footnote, Aldershot are so desperate that they were 0-2 down yesterday, it was raining, apparently they made no effort to clear the pitch at half time, then when the referee stopped play 10 minutes in to the second half no ground staff could be found to clear the water, Wrexham players tried to do it themselves. The game was abandoned. Wycombe would be proud of that effort.

Dover were deducted points as a result of refusing to play on last season because of financial difficulties, should have been relegated as a result, But because all leagues below the National conference were suspended it didn't happen, they are only there because of circumstances beyond their control, their owners would gladly have taken relegation by all accounts

Anyway, moving right along, Watford have just sacked their manager.
7 points from 7 games and he's gone, despite promotion last year.
The club have said;

Think next Sat's game we will struggle to attract 6000.With displays like yesterday and so little real quality plus one or two players seemingly too old to compete,lack of goals etc,there isn't much incentive to stand in the rain!!!!!

Hang on a sec. The underperforming manager, with little support from the terraces has offered his resignation. He has offered to walk away for free. Is this not something to at least be discussed at Board level? Nope. Of course not. This is Bristol Rovers FC. Our delusional owner gives 100% backing to his delusional manager. And it would appear Wael doesn't even feel the need to discuss the proposed resignation with other Board members. To be fair - they are 'yes men' and chocolate tea-pots anyway. But I live in hope that one day Starnes or Widdrington will eventually wake from their torpor, develop some kind of backbone, and tell Wael what a colossal mistake he made in hiring the vile snake oil salesman in the first place. I won't hold my breath.

WaQ is a spoilt little boy and has totally screwed us over from the day he walked in the door. What is so depressing is that thousands of Rovers fans can’t see it. He can walk away after selling the Mem and the ‘training ground’ and probably be up on the deal. I will not be attending another game until he has gone. An unmitigated disaster.

Do both these things take time? I was taking the p&ss in my last post, but having heard a synopsis of what was actually said I don’t think I was far off…

Just seen a clip on the late news. Wael and the board have full support for Joey and the squad. "If you look at him throughout his career, he has forged himself from rising from these situations of difficulty. I believe that this will happen at Rovers."

Daddy should have bought him a toy he’s grown up enough to play with

See you all at Solihull and Wealdstone. Where do they play? That`s one hell of a catchment area.

Steve Phillips wading in on B***** on Twitter.
Good on him. Better than Holloway telling us he’s going to be a success because he went fishing with him once
