B*****:
"I just spoke to Wael, I had a chat with him in the office afterwards. He is absolutely 100 per cent behind us.
For me, I don’t want any money out of the football club. I will happily walk away.
It’s not about waiting to be dismissed, it’s about changing the culture and changing the football club.
It’s tough at this moment, it really is, but I’m the third manager in less than a year so I think they have realised changing manager isn’t necessarily the right thing to do.
I spoke to Wael and I said ‘If you don’t think I’m the right guy for this, there is absolutely no problem and I will step away'.
He doesn’t think that. He thinks we are the right group to turn this club around"
Christ on a bike. The owner is given a get out of jail free card and rips it up.
B***** out.

“ changing the culture and changing the football club “
What is left for B***** to change? What manager gets to hand pick an entire squad, assistants, back room and mentor and still insists there’s a culture needs changing?
He’s a snake oil salesman. 😡

If that really happened it's possible that Punchy may have just instigated formal proceedings for termination of employment.
One thing's for sure, the club sure has been 'turned around' from where it was that day away at Ipswich.

If that is accurate what does it do to Wael’s credibility?

If that is real... I give up! It’s real as in its quotes taken from B***** himself. The manager giving himself a public vote of confidence on behalf of the owner. However, the caveat is that if B***** called me by name I’d have to check my birth certificate afterwards.

Pretty desperate from Joey though isn’t it, to go and seek that and so quickly share the vote of confidence with the world. This guys not a walker. Having wheedled his way in…
Ladies and Gentlemen (and however you identify) we have a Brimstone and Treacle situation!

I have a feeling Wael’s latest delusion is that someone will pay him to take over the football club and then rent the Mem and the training ground from him.

Is it time for another poll, to capture the pulse of the forum? Something like ‘is this enough for you now, yes?’ versus ‘no, I’m still willing to take more of this, thinking like, something different might start to happen, once he manages to change the culture’.

Ive been wondering why on earth buy a football club and pissed tens of millions of quid up against a wall ? But without ever wanting to spend on fees or the stadium? Why not spend £10m in year one getting to the championship where you can rake in enough through tv fees to break even? Its almost as if its a tax write off or something

Ive been wondering why on earth buy a football club and pissed tens of millions of quid up against a wall ? But without ever wanting to spend on fees or the stadium? Why not spend £10m in year one getting to the championship where you can rake in enough through tv fees to break even? Its almost as if its a tax write off or something Since July 2017 I’ve felt the three brothers had many millions at their disposal to do whatever they liked with and Wael chose to buy a football club but didn’t really have any idea what to do with it. If you’ve earned your fortune then it’s likely you know where you want to go next and how you are going to get there but Wael has behaved in the way a lottery winner would. A couple of weeks ago I posted that in Wael’s position, disillusioned with failure and the constant money drain, one course of action would be to try to unburden myself of the football club but keep hold of the Mem and training ground. Pulling that off would mean I could, to a certain extent, save face and at the same time preserve at least some of the capital I’d invested while providing me with an independent income. But that poses the question “ which type of football club owner would want to pay to take over Rovers in our present state and rent a not fit for purpose stadium and training ground ?” And the answer to the question is “ the wrong type, someone who is desperate and can’t get anything better”. Since posting that I’ve been contacted by two completely independent people with good football connections who have both told me they think a separation of the football club from BRFC 1883 Ltd is on the agenda.
