Another shock was that huw Edwards was on £430,000 a tear ! The amazing thing is that he was allowed to resign ! He should have been sacked a year ago !

Bringing Cameron back into government was the final nail in the Tory coffin for me.

First off it is not a criminal trial. It is a Civil trial. There are no 'victims'. It is regarding where the sum of $130,000 came from. To put the Bond in the hundreds of millions really is a joke. The case is just yet another poor attempt by the Democrats to pin something, anything, on Trump. Let's not forget that Bill Clinton paid $900,000 to Paula Jones yet nothing was done about that. The Dems really have opened Pandora's Box with these legal cases against Trump. It was always the unwritten rule that President's or former President's were not prosecuted in this way. Just look at the free ride Biden has been given over Hunter Biden and Joe's own involvement in Ukraine. we are not talking about $130,000 here but major corruption. When Trump gets re-elected I fully expect the Republicans to go after the Biden family in the same manner. What else do the Democrats think will happen?
Oh, and the first Prosecution witness is the publisher of the National Enquirer, the most useless rag in publishing history 😁

Rayner under investigation,Lammy under investigation..."meet the new lot, same as the old lot". Same old parties, same old policies, same old mistakes, same old incompetence, different day same old sh1t. That's why I'm voting for Reform.

For the first time this year i saw British tomatoes in Aldi (Aldi only used to sell the tasteless foreign **** until Brexit) they are really tasty, so much choice of British produce in Aldi now. Buying British is also better for the environment, I think that these exotic fruits that are flown here should have massive tariffs to discourage people from buying them. Obviously I'm a free-marketeer... but I don't understand why people buy produce from the southern hemisphere. It's expensive and without going all Greeta Thornburg - this has to be bad for the environment. I remember growing up and looking forward to fresh, seasonal produce. Grown locally. Cheap strawberries, only around for a couple of months. The big supermarkets have a reputation for screwing British farmers. Maybe more regulation is required. And a Buy British campaign wouldn't go amiss. The keyword in your post is 'seasonal'. People now expect to buy anything all year round.

As I said earlier, in terms of population size the 1,300 people slaughtered on Oct 7th is the equivalent of 10,000 people in the UK. Can you imagine the UK's response if that were ever to happen?

In the 'peace talks' last week, the Israelis offered to release 900 Palestinians in return for 40 'live hostages'. Hamas responded by saying they would return 40 hostages. Israel repeated the offer, and Hamas responded in the same way. This suggests that the hostages are dead. If so, Israel will not stop, and who can blame them.

I’m m baffled , I keep hearing it will be all milk & honey when they win the next election, young women said she can’t wait for a Labour goverment as she will be able to afford a house , holidays , money in her pocket , this seems to be the theme Yes I listen to a phone in the other day & the bloke who said he was a staunch labour supporter said to lammy you 5 years to sort this country out or you’ll be gone , lammy said it will take 10 yrs to make any meaningful changes , 10 yrs!!!! So what actually will be this milk & honey I keep hearing about , it won’t sway my vote Labour way , but maybe it won’t be the s**t show it always has been ? Both Labour and Tory government policies have led us to where we are now. They have both created what we have. It is madness to expect those same parties to 'fix' it. Labour will get in, not because of what they can do, but because the Tories have been so piss poor. Angela Raynor as Deputy Prime Minister? Jesus wept!

He is just hoping for some sort of miracle to happen, but it won't. I have never voted for anyone other than a Tory but I will not vote for this current fake version of the Tory party. I look at the amount of tax I pay every month and I still can't believe it.

It's an unfortunate fact that if you are in a war zone, you are at risk. There was obviously a mistake made by the IDF and they have held their hands up and admitted it. They will investigate what went wrong to ensure the chances of it happening again are reduced.
Once again, if the Palestinians want it to stop all they have to do is hand over the hostages. It's as simple as that.

As I said earlier, I believe Nigel Farage is just waiting for the election date to be announced, and he will become the leader of Reform. This will give them a huge bounce in the vote share, plus give them momentum in the lead-up to the election. Labour's huge lead could start to be reduced when they publish their manifesto. I think when their policies start to be scrutinized we'll see that they are also a busted flush. Labour will win the election though.

I thought you might say that. I watch neither, ever. One is "click bait" and one is horrendous. He says, without ever watching or listening to either. This is the rule that GB broke "A series of Ofcom investigations today concluded that five programmes on GB news featuring politicians acting as news presenters broke broadcasting due impartiality rules. Under the Broadcasting Code, news, in whatever form, must be presented with due impartiality. Additionally, a politician cannot be a newsreader, news interviewer or news reporter unless, exceptionally, there is editorial justification. In line with the right to freedom of expression, broadcasters have editorial freedom to offer audiences a wide range of programme formats, including using politicians to present current affairs or other non-news programmes. Politicians may also appear in broadcast news content as an interviewee or any other type of guest. Individual programmes can also feature a mix of news and non-news content and move between the two genres. If, however, a licensee chooses to use a politician as a presenter in a programme containing both news and current affairs content, it must take steps to ensure they do not act as a newsreader, news interviewer or news reporter in that programme" Surely the easiest and most sensible thing would be just to ban any serving politician from presenting or reporting on any news programme/channel right across the board. We pay these people enough for running the country, to be honest I don't think any serving politician should be allowed to have another job too. They're career politicians but also career any other pie they choose to stick their sticky fingers in. This problem has not been created by politicians fronting shows, but Ofcom trying to shape things to their own political viewpoint. Have you ever watched the news on Channel 4? That is so biased towards the left it is unreal, but Ofcom say it's ok because it is not fronted by politicians! They also tried to pin the same charges against Nigel Farage, until it was pointed out he is not a politician.

This is what it's like to go and watch Eintracht Frankfurt. The stadium is located outside of the city in the forest, but it is near the motorway, so car access is easy without any major queues. There are S-Bahn and Strassen Bahn connections to the stadium which most fans use. In the forest around the stadium are loads of beer and food stands, which are not expensive. There usually is a large amount of Police near the stadium. Inside the stadium the catering is all cash-free and you have to have a clubcard to purchase anything. There are people walking around the concourse giving these out so they are easy to obtain. You just have to 'load' some money on them. Beer is freely available, and even when you are sat in your seat there will be sellers walking around with a small beer kegs on their backs so you can get a beer without leaving your seat, although these beers can be a little expensive. Ticket prices for the Eintracht are not cheap though and they can be difficult to get for most games as they are usually a sell-out with the stadium holding approx. 50,000 people. My personal opinion is that the atmosphere can sometimes be a bit flat. I've been to Anfield a couple of times in the last year and I had to cup my hands and shout into the ear of the person sat next to me if I wanted to talk to them. At the Eintracht it's very easy to talk normally to the person sat next to you. To summarise: Easy to get in and out. Loads of beer and food available, but can be a bit pricey.....Oh, and I hate the fact they play music when the Eintracht score a goal. Good to hear it's a similar vibe in Frankfurt - surprised it's quiet though. My trips to Berlin, Magdeburg and Nuremburg have all been very noisy affairs... How much are the cheapest Eintracht tickets out of interest? Oh, and if Union ever played music after a goal there would be a riot in Kopenick. Although the Waldstadion was rebuilt for the World Cup in Germany it doesn't seem as though it was designed to 'make noise'. The singing from the Ultras always seems to be a 'distant' noise rather than in your face !

Just to make my point. I listened to a very interesting interview with the Communications Workers Union, David Ward, today. Instead of the usual "it's all an attack on the workers" rhetoric he agreed that the Post Office cannot carry on as is and that he accepted changes to the service were required. He even said his union would consider 5 or even 3 day delivery cycles, as part of a broader consideration of the service offer. Sounds eminently sensible to me and his point that the Ofcom report was dead in the water because the Government have said they will not consider changes in delivery cycles at all was well made. His comments have been covered in The Standard today, link www.standard.co.uk/business/business-news/union-to-put-forward-its-own-report-on-future-of-royal-mail-b1134492.htmlWhich just shows you can offer an opinion with a link to information with clogging the forum with copy and pasting whole articles and in isolation. A good suggestion was made a coup!e of weeks ago......sell Royal Mail to Amazon for one pound. Have a good legal SLA/Charter. In no time at all we would have a good service that made a profit for someone. What we currently have is a service in decline with ever rising costs to the customer, and taxpayer. That cannot continue.

Oldie, calm down. I think this has gone over your head You think? What I read is numb nuts incapable of articulating a point No need for the name calling eh! Why do you do it? Instead of calling someone "numb nuts" why not just say "someone"? There really is no need for this is there. Maybe more people would engage on this forum if it were more civilized.
