I don't know what to make of it really. Swindon were there for the taking, it looks like we came for a clean sheet and nearly got it, but against Swindon?! They were awful. They had no pace upfront therefore there was an opportunity to play higher. I liked the 3-5-2 for round pegs and everyone knows I love that formation, but it was definitely 5-3-2, Tutonda and Hare told not to venture forward. 75 minutes is too late to then start attacking, the free kick we gave away for the goal didn't look like one, it didn't look like a foul, don't know why. Tisdale will be able to take stock and implement something before Tuesday which again is a good opportunity to pick up 3 pts but this current situation gives me little confidence. I was really looking forward to yesterday's game but we showed our weaknesses which was mainly a lack of guts and experience, but this little run will be ok if he turns it round soon. He has to work with them until Jan at least if he wants to change it, bring in one or two. I do feel it's only one or two needed though. Jakkiola was at fault for the goal, such a soft one, bit like kids football. He's usually good at those, so I will allow it. The players out there were good enough to win, but Daly plays and we do win. It made a big difference, Hanlan was isolated too often. I still rate him, opposition defenders can't deal with him and not everything he tries has to come off. Maybe the odd decision needs scrutiny. We won the ball in their half well a few times, just lacked the final ball. This was definitely a freebie for Tisdale being signed on Thursday, it was almost like watching from the stands before meeting the players. We would not have won under BG that is certain. Can someone talk to Kilgour and find out what he needs, the young player of the year last season looks out of his depth on the ball, that free kick he took was rushed, wasted a good opportunity to get the ball in a dangerous area, why was he even taking it? He played ok, defended ok, can't be in the team instead of Harries or Baldwin though. Throw ins. AARRRRGGGGHHH!! Swindon did it, then we did it. How can professional footballers paid £100k per year throw the ball at a team mate's middle, expect them to control it, then miss the return pass and give away another throw in. It's kid's stuff. Just say to the ref 'no its ok, let them have it, we'll give it away soon anyway' just eliminate the middle man. One player walks towards the thrower, then as the ball is above his head to throw, spin off and run behind the defender, if it doesn't come off, fine, but it's better than the s**t we saw yesterday. Train a player to practice long throws, train 3 of them.. Please do something but don't give it away. This is League One. Tutonda showed his weakness yesterday, a little but rash and gave the ball away a few times. Some good tackles, especially one in the first half to create a good chance for us. Nicholson was our MOTM for me. Looks a different class. Upson doesn't warrant a starting place.I'm over this game, but will expect another limp defeat Tuesday at the moment. I think I need them to show heart, a 'they shall not pass' attitude, protect your keeper, blocks and headers, to be fair they nearly did it yesterday but had we been a little bit more adventurous earlier, especially just after half time, that game was there for the taking. UTG Good detail, mango. #UTG

It's going to take abit of time for PT II to see what players can do.Not too much on yesterdays evidence 🙂.In 3 or 4 games we ought to be abit more like it.His record is generally very good and I think/hope the wait for some decent form - unlike with Ben Garner - won't go on "until the 12th of never and that's a long long time" as Donny Osmond put it.
Josh Sheehan of Newport County would be a good signing in January, if possible.

Under BG the players were allowed to express themselves. and for long spells, even against the top sides, gave a good account of themselves. They played some pretty football and the goal against Fleetwood was the best team goals I've seen for many a year.
Our problem is we always seen to concede a soft goal, so it made winning games a rarity but as the performance was deemed to be more important that the result the players took no responsibility for the final score.
Tis all different now, and it showed yesterday by gawd, it was if they had never played together before, barely able to string two passes together. The team were playing with 'fear'' and for all of us watching from home, extremely frustrating as we as fans were not there to bully / inspire the players to step it up.
The inbred's goal was down to a goalkeeping error once again, but at least the team's response was better and unlucky not to get an equalizer. Tuesday's game can't come quick enough as the team need to show the neccessary charector to redeem themselves..
The only 'saving grace' being it only cost me a tenner to watch instead of £120 and no hangover this morning had we been able to go to the game. UTG

Harries goes off and we end up with Upson against Pitman. Only one result from that. Kilgour giving away a daft free kick. We still had 2 centre-backs on the pitch at that point though. One of them should have been marking Pitman, not Upson.

Poor passing all over the pitch yesterday: misdirected passes, under-hit passes, passing behind the wing-back so they have to go backwards to start with rather than being able to run on to it.
As much as I like Nicholson - his running, dribbling, pace, skills, goal-scoring potential - his passing at times has been way off the mark.
In the Rochdale away game (which we really should have won), he broke away with the ball on several occasions in the second half, had options ahead of him, but took the wrong one each time. Either went on his own and failed to pass when he should have, did pass but misplaced his pass, or left a pass far too late meaning we were offside.
Yesterday he had a fantastic opportunity to play O'Hanlan through on goal in the second half, but the pass was terribly under-hit. Brandon was clearly annoyed and fair play to him expressing his feelings.
If Nicholson can improve this aspect of his game we have one hell of a player on our hands.

Whether you were BG in or BG out, or PT in or PT out, one thing I have taken from the threads and reaction is we played Swindon away yesterday!
Normally, that's the second most rivalry we endure away, a local derby in every sense of the word before, during and after, and as it's so close, many would have attended.
We all view our club with emotion, but yesterday's encounter was a sad reflection on with dissipation and distance we only have 90 minutes to comment on. Separately. We've lost something. Something important. Connection...

We are social animals, the virus feeds on that, we have no alternative but starve it to death, and then carry on as normal but likely have greater appreciation of what we under appreciated till it was gone, so our world may be richer afterwards?

He saved us plenty of points in the past and will do in future I am sure, but when you're playing for 0-0 the margins are fine. 3-0 up and we don't even mention it.
