it's 10.43 and nobody has stepped up. So here I go...
they aren't doing well but they get small crowds so will feel just as at home in our empty stadium as we will
we've won 2 on the bounce, and suddenly BG is an all-conquering hero who, if only we'd had more patience and insight, we'd have seen as a genius from the start. Getting carried away? Yes, I think so
but this looks winnable, and in many ways it will be a disappointment if we don't 'get the W' (urgh!)
the Turkish Messi will probs be on the bench, and make a cameo if it's going well. If nothing else, his arrival should be giving Barrel's training a bit of a hurry-up
last season's local hero Alfie K will probs be on the bench too. It's been a week since our last game, so everyone has had a chance to recover
hoping Hardon's legs aren't too stiff. The bloke's off to a bit of a flyer, and there's a bit of a frisson every time he gets the ball
hoping Grant continues his slow improvement - he seems key to BG's plans - and that the midfield creators keep on meshing a little bit better every game
hoping Davie T and Hare gets coursing down their wings, and that their crosses keep buttering Daly's bread

This has gone from a "difficult" fixture 2 weeks ago to an eminently winnable one. Where does the Turkish Messi fit into this? He doesn't look a like for like replacement for anyone. Does he play in a 3 man midfield? Does he play in behind Hanlan? He definitely gives BG options and should be a very good signing. Dare I say it, looking forward to this afternoons game with renewed enthusiasm.
We'll probably lose 0-2.

I'm getting upset that a lot of the doom, gloom, finger pointing and abject pessimism has evaporated.
Where's knowall when you want him with his intrigue and grenades in ponds?

Where's Wally, he's certainly not in the crowd at the Mem today as we'd easily find him, obviously still locked in the loo.....

We lost there(here for me) to two late goals last time we played them but played well.Their keeper punched the air after 90 minutes at the away end so it would be nice to gain revenge.They have a neat tiny stadium but just right for them with such miniscule crowds and punch above their weight but with access to the National FA Complex nearby they have a lot going for them.Does JJ still feature for them?

Looks like burton have major injury issues, with two defenders out injured after last weekend, on top of what was already an injury hit squad.

Would like to think we could win this one, but I am expecting Burton to put up much more of a fight than the Cobblers, draw from me, 1-1. I think teams are slow to adapt to playing in empty stadiums, the whole dynamic of the game has changed.

How do I get to the match now I have my match pass? I think you get access about 10-15 minutes before kick off... just go back the main portal and it should 'open' up... |
