Sorry for going over old ground but today (3rd June) is one month on from the fateful day of 3rd May when we were relegated.
And so far all we know is that the fault lies with John Ward, some of the backroom staff, the video analyst and, of course, us the fans who were preventing players from coming to us because we were very angry about going down on our forum! But definitely NOT the fault of the Board or the Financial Director who didn't even know the financial implications of relegation in advance of the end of the season.
Elsewhere radio silence - and we're expected to be good boys and girls and wait patiently, never questioning, until the SC EGM to hear all about what is happening from our esteemed leadership (but only a select few of us of course). We will also hopefully hear what Dunford's review on Dunford's performance is, what Jelf's review on Jelf's perfomance is etc etc and all the important lessons that have been learned. But that might not be ready by then - we do, after all, have to understand that this a full end to end review and these things take time!
Meanwhile the turf still hasn't been cut on the UWE despite Higgs himself saying we needed to start work in May to hit the August 2015 deadline, rumours that all is not well on the project and still no idea who is or isn't likely to join us on the playing side.
So one month on from a catastrophic relegation and still nobody is any the wiser, and whenever we ask a question the standard reply is 'wait until the review is complete, there's a good chap'. I can't think of any other club anywhere in the country that treats it's fans with such contempt (probably because most will roll over, STILL think the Board are doing a great job and will clap and cheer never questioning however low down the footballing pyramid we sink)
Anyway, no particular point to this thread other than getting that off my chest. Have a good day all.

All valid points. It really does make you wonder what other group of supporters would put up with such BS.
The silence from the Supporters Club is equally deafening.

I've learnt that Geoff Dunfords words of a few years ago begin to look more and more like reality.
'The club will go under/fall before the board'.

To be fair, we've learnt that fans will spend less time traveling to away games this season, and that (gasp!) the round trips will be twice the distance of the same trips one way. I can honestly say that I know of no other club that has been quite so forthcoming with this type of information. In addition, the tea lady at BRFC is probably distantly related to the woman who had a one-night stand with the man who went to school with the grandson of the man who once tripped over a fag packet dropped by an ancestor of the goalie who will be playing for Honduras in the World Cup this year. And you say they're telling us nothing?

Im the most disgusted with brsc who havent had the balls to do or say anything. To be fair they are in a difficult position. They have a constitution to work to and called a meeting within their remit. It took a bit long and appears to have been reluctant. Unfortunately they are a little like a tanker trying to turn. To be credible they have to announce the membership's feelings and quickly follow through. Be disgusted if, after the meeting and they understand the thoughts of the membership, they still say and do nothing.

I'm not really sure what people expect to have heard.
I'd like to think there was a comprehensive review going on, but I suspect all that is happening is a review of costs. But I certainly wouldn't want all that out in the open, I'd rather we saw the changes as they happened & perspective players don't get put off by endless turmoil.
I certainly don't want any announcement on a playing budget that should be a closely carded secret between the board & manager. When agents come inquiring they should receive a stock answer 'in line with relegation the club will have a reduced playing budget'.
As to players if they haven't signed on the dotted line then no comment & no confirmation or denial regarding individual names.
I guess it comes back to the idea that fans want the club tun better but they also want to know everything that is happening behind the scenes. But the best run clubs don't give a running update on what ishhappening (partly as it's likely to be deadly dull reading).

No Stadium news. No review news. No signings. No positivity at all. Welcome to non-league Bristol Rovers.

This is the lowest point in the clubs history and yet nothing seems to be happening
I mean confirmation of the date for the July Q and A would be something, but again I am a cynic and I am sure that won't be announced until such time is there is sufficient good news/things happening that the BoD get an easier ride and it will be all about the good things and less about what went wrong.
Has anyone got the impression from anyone at the club that they are seriously looking at change. I have heard the usual buzz words from the chairman about mistakes and learning and not much else

Im the most disgusted with brsc who havent had the balls to do or say anything. The supporters club under Jim Chappell have made it perfectly clear, they will support the board at all times even if that means supporting abject failure such as they are now.

I did not expect the club to come out with statements etc straight away but one month after relegation and we have not heard even a tiny fragment of good news. No new players' as yet in place and only 26 days until these new playing staff are supposed to start training, Nothing on the UWE and nothing on nothing about nothing. Are we being taken for fools?

Is the Supporters Club EGM on 17th June not this fabled 'New Q&A Forum' that Kirsty was told to tell us about when the Forum was shut? I assumed it was but could be wrong and there's going to be 2 Q&A's, one with the SC in June and another in July?

News about the UWE 'may be' coming later in the week according to a twitter reply I got from the club. Let's hope it's positive news and not just a holding 'negotiations are ongoing and we'll let you know when there's news to tell you' that we keep getting told. I agree with what you said on Twitter 'no news is NOT good news' and if there is to be bad news on this I'd prefer we just got it out of the way rather than another body blow when we've finally come to terms with relegation.
