I agree, i'm in the 'etc' camp, perhaps Coughlan was not on the same page as Wael, I think Coughlan tried to tell us with his outbursts that followed a win or a draw!. If BG was part of a Boardroom masterplan, all I can say is what horrendous timing, sure, we were punching above our weight, sure Coughlanball was not easy on the eye, but after Ipswich with a game in hand I honestly thought we had a real chance to sneak the playoff's, I find it hard to blame any of the players since, as they were giving everything up until the moment BG arrived and then collectively we decided to say goodbye to great form and hello to relegation form. Now I do hope that BG is the right man, and time (10 years) by all accounts will tell. But I will also remember GC with fondness in particular for Shrewsbury & Ipswich away, what was it, 56 years since we beat Ipswich?, yet it was lost in the managerial upheaval, pity. No, our form and League position was lost due to managerial incompetence at Board level. Don't take my word for it, I just run around the forum starting arguments everywhere, Swiss will tell you that if you have a department manager who is doing a great job, you make sure that he/she knows that he/she is loved. Same same!.

Bradford say so long and thanks for your efforts to their manager for not winning in 7 and only getting 7 points from the last 8 games. Garner has managed 3 points in the last 8 League matches. At least Bradford have acted whilst a play off place is still retrievable I wonder if the owners have bothered to speak to the playing staff to see how they feel right now? Just a thought.

...if you have a department manager who is doing a great job, you make sure that he/she knows that he/she is loved. WAQ could not have convinced GC that he was loved. We had our highest league position for many years, yet attendances were falling. This was partly due to disillusion with the owners, but it was also because we didn't love GC in sufficient number.

Not having that, not when we have Gorringe to promote the club. What could possibly go wrong? It's almost as if somebody shouted 'Iceberg, dead ahead', so Wael said, 'Sounds OK, head for that then'.

I think we (the fans) need to take a share of the blame too. Despite the success he achieved over two different seasons, he won't have felt loved by us either. His biggest crime - he wasn't DC

You and Gorringe are placed adjacent at my dinner parties. Make sure you have plenty of other guests for him to enjoy. His favourite Rovers players over recent(ish) times - Tom Nichols, Lewis Haldane and Ryan Williams. Jeremy Corbyn and John Mcdonnell must be there. I'm guessing he might also like to cosy up to Jess Phillips.

Blimey Bamber it’s almost like being back in the David Penny/ Stuart Campbell times of 2011. Not sure if asking the players for their opinion is the way forward. Those in the team probably happy those not..... 😉 Just days after he’s brought 7 players in to the club its not going to happen. UTG!

All sounds great to me, don't worry about the players buying in to what the manager wants, it's not as if small margins decide games. As you were.

Thing is BG, i'am conscious if BG don't get a win under his belt soon then all my positively may will appear misplaced. I did forecast that Ben having some quality time with his squad will respond and win minimum two of the next three games - At the end the day we all want success on the pitch (after all Wael were not going anywhere off the pitch!) So if Rovers, as i predicted do well and get a good return (pressure on as GC would have for sure!) then i can 'rest on my laurels' and be a smug bar steward! However if it all goes 'tits up' starting at Wycombe it could be me losing sleep..........................................UGG/UTG

My advice; try, if possible, to only get stressed about things in life that you have influence over.

At the end of the day it will be the players who get BG sacked or make him a success. If he hasn't got the players to buy into his style then we'll find out for sure in the next fortnight/3 games, fail to win any of those and we'll be in real trouble.

Yes, I can agree with that as is the case with every team, if the players can’t deliver what the manager wants then they lose and will eventually get replaced. Asking the players for their opinions is a bit different though. UTG!
