I was up off my chair when I knew he was on 36, with one question left.
Elton John and it's a case of Back of the Net.
Colin Pike, Pike, Pike...
He dedicated it to Gasheads everywhere.
Are we finished? Are we f*ck? PM Champions League here we come.

Oh Mike, you "stupid boy".
Colin is a Rovers supporter who shares the same surname as a character in Dad's Army.
He did more today to raise our national profile than the entire collection of your history books.
Only joking Mike ππ

He got every answer right on Pop Master, which is a long-running feature on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 morning programme, with audience of 7m listeners.
He announced that he supported Bristol Rovers and made a dedication to all Gasheads live on the Radio.
He now goes forward to Pop Master's Champions League in December. Maximum score of 39 is rare, although not as rare as a TN goal.
No photo opportunity for Wael.
Are you interested in securing the rights to his biography? π

Suggest his agent you I presume contacts my people to thrash out a deal to become a programme contributor. Do you also sale his image rights? Is he is a bonafide season ticket holder at the Mem ?

Mean-spirited Mike.
What has Ken Masters done to raise our national profile? The name is more famous as a character in Howard's Way...

I salute you for putting Bristol Rovers on the national map. Pop Master superstar. Colin Pike, Pike, Pike..... Good stuff, but Colin isn't the first Rovers fan to score top marks on Pop Master. Steve (a member of the often champion team at the BRSC quiz nights 'The Committee for Public Safety') got 39 and straight through to the finals a few years ago. He is a bit of a serial TV quizzer: been on Fifteen to One twice, some quiz hosted by Nick Knowles, some others I forget, and won a tidy sum on Barrymore's My Kind of Music. On My Kind of Music Steve answered the questions, and his singing partner was a fella from Tesco Eastville called Paul Potts. Paul went on to some other TV show, if I recall. '

I read elsewhere that Colin resides in Leighton Buzzard.
We recently lost another Rovers fan from LB, sadly far too young; he died from injuries after falling down stairs. This was leading up to the game at his local ground, against MK Dons on New Years Day.
Another Rovers fan from Leighton Buzzard is one of my nieces - I'm still working on the other two! And I often visit the area sporting Rovers caps, woolly hats, and hoodies around LB & MK.
Finally, there is a Leighton Buzzard connection with another team from Bristol. Some reprobate has scrawled 'Bristol City' on the 13th century walls inside the spiral staircase of the spire of the church of All Saints, in the centre of Leighton Buzzard.
