How about this for a worst team of the decade? Scott Bevan Guy Branston Gary Kenneth Adam Virgo Johnny Burn Andy Bond Craig Stanley Dominic Blizzard Matt Gill Derek Riordan Luke James Subs Mark Wright Mitch Harding Jeffrey Monakana Alan Gow Chris Zebroski Rene Howe Kayne Mclaggon Excellent, what a fantastic front 3, Gill, James and Derek 'Knee Knack' Riordan, total appearances 80, total goals between them, 0. I thought that Virgo was kind of OK to be fair.

To be fair Matt Gill was a totally sh*t mid-fielder rather than a totally sh*t striker. Ali Gibb was a totally sh!t right sided midfielder, he still managed 2 goals in 60 games. Admittedly, 1 of those went in off his arse whilst he was flat on his face at Port Vale, but they all count. In fact, Gibb should be our Captain, I always had the impression that none of the other players liked him at all. Every single time a pass went to him it was either hit at 100 MPH, played so far in front that it made him look bad as he couldn't reach it or it was played behind him. Poor Ali.

Gibb played for us in about 2006. I didn’t think he was that bad comparatively - lots of total dross in competition for a place. The football equivalent of a mobile road cone for example - Rob Quinn (shuddering even now thinking about him!). I had Gill playing wide rather than up front but equally useless wherever he was played!

Virgo gets a place for his attitude towards us since then as a pundit. Agree not the worst we've had football wise but gets my vote because I think he is a total knob

2 decades of it, albeit interspersed with some occasional short bursts of sunshine

Mark Wright, Mark 'cuprinol' Foran, and Jamie White should also be on the list! White is particular was supposed to be a goal scorer, yet played 11 games with no goal, then went to Sutton and scored within 15 minutes in his first game!

GK - Scott Bevan (But I feel a bit harsh as I'm sure we had worse on loan who I can't remember).
RB - Carl Regan (Oh dear)
CB - Gary Kenneth CB - Tom Parkes (Neither of these guys could move). LB - Gary Sawyer (Rubbish for us I thought).
RW - Mark Wright (Oh dear) CM - Seanan Clucas (An objectively terrible player) CM - Craig Stanley (Ditto - I swear these guys played in the same midfield once). CM - Kyle Bennett (If someone can let me know what position he actually plays and what it is that he does that makes him a professional footballer can they let me know).
LW - Wayne Brown (Once went passed a player so loads thought he was good - they were very wrong).
CF - Darryl Duffy (We've had far worse but none who wound me up so much; worst body language of any player I've ever seen).
It's a little unfair because we've probably had worse players in most of these positons. But the question is which would you like to forget? It's these guys.
